Newt wins SC, Romney wins FL
So what happens then?

If Romney wins SC, which is a distinct possibility, then he wins the nomination hands down, and no one can stop him.

However, if Newt were to win SC, which is absolutely possible now, then Romney wins FL, but Newt will likely come in 2nd. Ron Paul comes in 3rd in both states. Santorum is out, and puts his support behind Romney, which was his goal from the outset (to be the nominee's VP).

Nevada and Maine are next up and both are caucuses. If Ron Paul is to keep his campaign going, I believe he needs to win Nevada, and it's possible. Romney will likely take Maine, with Newt 2nd or 3rd.

CO, MN and MO occur in early February. I don't see Gingrich winning any of the 3. Romney will will MN for sure, and likely also MO. Again, for Ron Paul to continue, he needs to win CO.

AZ, MI and (several days later) WA. Romney wins MI walking away like he did last year. AZ is a must win for the conservative alternative (be it Paul or Newt). WA will likely go to the presumptive nominee, Romney.

Super Tuesday is March 6. The key states to watch if there is more than 1 candidate at that point are: OH, VA and TN. If a conservative candidate wins at least 1, the nomination battle may run until the convention. If Paul is still in, he has a shot at AK, ID and OK.
