Shaking in Houston. When it does this there is usually a big EQ in or around Japan.

Oh no my girl has relatives there.

I have felt this before and there's ususally a swarm for several days. That's what happened last year. When Japan settled down, what I felt settled down. I haven't felt this subtle shaking in months and months...now it's back tonight.

I pray for Japan and that entire coastline. Taiwan...

Okay, 40 minutes after this posted, the Gulf of California had close to a 5.0.

I think the ripples are traveling westward now.

Look at my post time and the USGS quake as evidence.

It's swaying here again.

Indonesia had a quake just 50 minutes after I posted and just 10 minutes after Gulf of Cal quake.

I think there's only 1 degree difference on the longitude between Houston and Indonesia.

In a couple of hours or days? Any idea?

I posted this back in February of 2011. Then the EQ hit about 3 weeks later.

I haven't felt the same swaying since then, but now it's back.

God I pray it's not another big one for Japan or Taiwan but the swaying IS there, just like I felt it back then.

OP - Look in your news sources for shaking in your area (approx. 60 miles from you) January 11th. Can't seem to post the name of the town or any links here.

It's doing it continually now and the blinds are moving. I was critiqued for this as people said I had vertigo or something else, so I dismissed it all.

Didn't even think much of the quake in Japan and the link.

Now, there was a definite precursor and I believe the swaying might be linked. I know there's a lot of ground water stuff to explain it, but I don't know...it feels the same after a year of not feeling anything.

I'm in nw Harris county, didn't feel anything here.

We had the WAVE last March and April and I heard it coming in February. Small lap this summer too. This may be the reason for the vibrating you are feeling, that corresponds to you feeling this last March before Japan. That quake was related to the additional wave energies and we will probably see more quakes, and those strange noises, fires and storms. Remember all those tornadoes during that time in the US? Perhaps all the storms up in the NW are related too.

But on the serious, I'm in Tx too, and I felt some serious vibrations on and off all week. Some people are too "on the go" to notice anything, it seems, and they look at your like you are crazy when you mention it.
