lol, I laughed.

Cell biology? Interesting... I was going to go with double major in exercise science and biology but due to so much bullshit, I decided to finish early with exercise science which I later on found out to be crap when other countries had even better shit. Talk about crappy public education in USA. I continued to stay interested in human physiology because it's a big part of exercise science so naturally it led to many things including GLP over where we came from. Lol.

Yea, I loved physiology, very interesting. My favorite subject is actually Physics, I ended up going pre-med because I wanted to either be a Chiropractor or a Surgeon, lol. When I graduate I am going to join the gas industry which is booming in my area. Rather than get 250K in debt and have 4 terrible years of Chiropractic school (The school I want to go to has the same program that MD's go through except no schooling on pharmaceutical's and twice as much anatomy and physiology, pretty intense) I am going to join a gas company. They pay quite a bit for bio and chem majors to start off at jobs like mud engineering.

I do not understand your reverence for a man through his silence enabled a pedophile assistant coach Jerry Sandusky who has harmed so many young men’s lives to continue his abusive perverted behavior.

Joe Paterno’s claim of not knowing what to do and concern for the universities reputation belays a gross absence of integrity on his part as many young children have been harmed by his turning a blind eye and ignoring the pedophile activity of his subordinates.

Where is the reverence? You, not the only one, but are confused. I was just pointing out, unsuccessfully, the others to blame as well. I agree, the countless people he helped does not make up for the ones he did not.

I do not trust any that partake in the game of life those guys did. The man was an accomplish plain and simple, I hope judgment is kind to him. His legacy lives on, turning you head on evil makes you as guilty.

I sat on a plane next to a guy that was in that indutry and he loved it. Had alot of interesting things to say about it too. He did ALOT of traveling, all over the world. Sounded like a great job.

Yea, a lot of people make bank in this industry, Some company men make over 7-8 g's a day, and from what I hear, do not do much, but have been in the industry for quite some time. The traveling would be sweet too, If I work hard I should be fluent in both Russian and Spanish by the time I graduate as well.

Sandusky was not smart enough to get away with his treasures, someone had to lead the band to choreograph this. Joe was an excellent choice, lead the band, got the endorcements and no doubt the enticements, that was Sandusky's job and he did it well. Joe tarnished himself, his school all to expand evil. Congratulations Joe you did your job well, you just got caught.

YES, he should have followed through with his report. Lots of people got hurt because of it. He made a HUGE error in judgement. Many will never forgive him and couldn't care less that he dies. There's also a lot of people that do care about what he did over the years for Penn State and college football in general. LOTS of people in Pennsylvania will be reverent when it comes to his passing. You may be able to completely disregard his entire career up to that point, but some people won't. Stop trying to figure it out and just accept the fact that not everybody hates his fucking guts.

Back to the Joe Pa death story though, I am confused as shit right meow. Either way it will not be long before he passes, being taken off the ventilator and everything.

When Sandusky retired, Joe Paterno was criticized for giving a perfunctury speech (about 1 minute in length) at a dinner held in his honor. We now know the reason, Joe knew what was up. This was years before the infamous shower incident. Joe was complicit. Penn State was complicit.

Wow, that's a lot of cheddar. Yea he was fluent in something like 7 or 8 languages. Pretty damn amazing. If you do end up going in that field, I have a feeling you will definitely be using the Spanish and Russian. Your company might even pay for you to learn a couple more.

They're just working out the details with the centre co. medical examiner on the paper work and the m.e's payoff whilst jopa gets on a plane for parts unknown.

Joe Paterno's doctors say the former Penn State coach's condition has become "serious" after he experienced complications from lung cancer in recent days.

The winningest major college football coach of all time, Paterno was diagnosed shortly after Penn State's Board of Trustees ousted him Nov. 9 in the aftermath of the child sex abuse charges against former assistant Jerry Sandusky. Paterno's been getting treatment since, and his health problems were worsened when he broke his pelvis - an injury that first cropped up when he was accidentally hit in preseason practice last year.

"Over the last few days Joe Paterno has experienced further health complications," family spokesman Dan McGinn said in a brief statement Saturday to The Associated Press. "His doctors have now characterized his status as serious.

"His family will have no comment on the situation and asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult time," he said.

Paterno's sons Scott and Jay both took to Twitter Saturday night to refute reports that their father had died.

Wrote Jay Paterno: "I appreciate the support (and) prayers. Joe is continuing to fight."

The 85-year-old Paterno has been in the hospital since Jan. 13 for observation for what his family had called minor complications from his cancer treatments. Not long before that, he conducted his only interview since losing his job, with The Washington Post. Paterno was described as frail then and wearing a wig. The second half of the two-day interview was conducted by his bedside.

The final days of Paterno's Penn State career were easily the toughest in his 61 years with the university and 46 seasons as head football coach.

Sandusky, a longtime defensive coordinator who was on Paterno's staff in two national title seasons, was arrested Nov. 5 and ultimately charged with sexually abusing a total of 10 boys over 15 years. His arrest sparked outrage not just locally but across the nation and there were widespread calls for Paterno to quit.

Paterno announced late on Nov. 9 that he would retire at the end of the season but just hours later he received a call from board vice chairman John Surma, telling him he had been terminated as coach. By that point, a crowd of students and media were outside the Paterno home. When news spread that Paterno had been dumped, there was rioting in State College.".

I never, in a million years, would have thought that Onward State would be cited by the national media, and today, I sincerely wish it never had been. To all those who read and passed along our reports, I sincerely apologize for misleading you. To the Penn State community and to the Paterno family most of all, I could not be more sorry for the emotional anguish I am sure we caused. There are no excuses for what we did. We all make mistakes, but it’s impossible to brush off one of this magnitude. Right now, we deserve all of the criticism headed our way.

In this day and age, getting it first often conflicts with getting it right, but our intention was never to fall into that chasm. All I can do now is promise that in the future, we will exercise caution, restraint, and humility.

I can only hope and pray that the outstanding work our writers and photographers do on a day-to-day basis is not overshadowed by the events of tonight. I understand that our reputation is in serious question, but I hope you will continue to stand by us as we do everything in our power to make amends.

Yea he was probably banking an obscene amount of money. He had been at it for awhile. He was probably the guy they fly in when those guys that just sit in a trailer run into a serious problem (other than running out of beer )

News in the State College area is saying "Despite mixed reports, all that has been confirmed to us is that his health has taken a turn for he worse and he is in serious condition".

lol, I have drank with and also served quite a few of them. Most of them are real nice guys. I have seen them fire douche bags that worked for them in bars for starting fights, not knowing their big boss, who they did not even know, was in the same establishment. The guys were pipe-liners or frackers that were bragging about how much money they made and for who they worked for earlier in the night. That was the only reason there high up boss knew they worked for him.
