I would just continue to wash carefully and maybe let the area get some air. As the skin dries, there will be a definite weak spot to attack. Be careful,and keep plenty of gauze and alcohol around.

Is it like an infection? Could it infect my prostate?

Just keep rubbing the area for 5-10 minutes with hydrogen peroxide, 3% without dilution. It'll penetrate and reveal the weakarea of the boil via a white head. Stick sterile needle into whitehead and squeeze....

Get to hospital you idiot. My grandmas brother died of a cyst in the area you are speaking of....infection went into the spinal cord. If you cant afford the hospital at least see the GP for antibiotics.

Not quite sure what a taint is but,
I would rub some alcohol on it morning and night, don't smoke when you do this, and wait at least 3 days, unless it gets seriously worse. Could take 3 or more weeks to heal, 5 or more till you couldn't tell it happened.

And if you cannot afford it, just go to a clinic like an urgent care, rather than a big hospital. I understand, too, considering the location of the problem. I suffered for 6 weeks with my first severe case of shingles because it was in that same general area and the thought of getting checked was just too humiliating at the time. Had I known what it was, obviously, I would not have delayed. I thought it was bug/spider bites or something going nuts down there.

Also, I don't think lancing this late after the fact will speed its healing. Let it be and see if what you did already was enough to start the healing Patients and diligence 32 hrs.

I can only speak from personal experience op. I have had a cyst pop up on my inner thigh a few times. I always try to pop it in the shower for a few days, clean the hell out of it often, and usually it is gone with a week, sometimes 2. Sometimes I never even get to pop it, it just disappears after trying and cleaning for a few days. but like someone else said, if you are unsure, see a doc just to be on the safe side.

I love getting these. So much fun to pop.
