My grandmas brother died of a cyst in the area you are speaking of....infection went into the spinal cord. If you cant afford the hospital at least see the GP for antibiotics. .................................................. Wow, someone always has the worst scenario story to share to wake you up, yikes! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1486940 United States 01/22/2012 03:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | M R S A Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a type (strain) of staph bacteria that does not respond to some antibiotics that are commonly used to treat staph infections. Staph. aureus is a common type of bacteria. In about 1 out of every 4 healthy people, the staph germ lives on the skin or in the nasal passages, but it does not cause any problems or infections. These people are said to be colonized with staph. If the staph bacteria enter a person's body through a cut, sore, catheter, or breathing tube, it may cause an infection. The infection can be minor and local (for example, a pimple), or more serious (involving the heart, lungs, blood, or bone). Staph skin infections cause a red, swollen, and painful area on the skin. There may be drainage of pus or other fluids from the site. Symptoms are more likely to occur where the skin has been cut or rubbed, or in areas where there is more body hair. ... but - you should read the whole thing to get the big picture: [link to www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] And if you cannot afford it, just go to a clinic like an urgent care, rather than a big hospital. I understand, too, considering the location of the problem. I suffered for 6 weeks with my first severe case of shingles because it was in that same general area and the thought of getting checked was just too humiliating at the time. Had I known what it was, obviously, I would not have delayed. I thought it was bug/spider bites or something going nuts down there. |

Could take 3 or more weeks to heal, 5 or more till you couldn't tell it happened. lol, the gooch. Last Edited by Patrick Bateman on 01/22/2012 03:45 AM |

On the other hand I have had to lance them myself & a sewing needle won't do it. Also these things are deeper than you think. I used a sterile finishing nail I put through a 1" x 2" piece of wood I held my breath and counted to three. Bam! It hurt like hell but it was over in a second. It took 20 min to stop draining blood & puss. Yuck! You could strike an artery doing that so I recommend you get medical help. Btw these things take 3 days for your body to build a pocket around them. You have to wait to pop it. after & for a month or two wash with heppaclense from the drugstore The staph virus lives in the human nose so wash your hands after you pick. The doc can give you meds you put in your know for a month or two to clear it up. THE PUSS IS HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS. CLEAN EVERYTHING WITH BLEACH, SHOWERS, Sinks, sheets toilets & towels. Throw away everything you use when you pop it Again this was for entertainment purposes only. I am not a doctor so do not do this! Or even listen to me. |

I can only speak from personal experience op. I have had a cyst pop up on my inner thigh a few times. I always try to pop it in the shower for a few days, clean the hell out of it often, and usually it is gone with a week, sometimes 2. Sometimes I never even get to pop it, it just disappears after trying and cleaning for a few days. but like someone else said, if you are unsure, see a doc just to be on the safe side. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 2205555 United States 01/22/2012 04:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Please help me get a pin so I can get the best responce. Quoting: cyst 8861791 I have this knot on my taint close to my anus. The other day it was about the size of a large marble. So when I took a shower I squeezed it as hard as I could in the hope I could pop it and get some relief. Well it didn't pop like I wanted it to, it did erupted outward instead it popped under the skin and has got bigger. Well I don't want to go to the hospital, for one I cant afford it and second come on who would want to if they were in my situation. So my question is would I be able to lance it with a hot needle? I love getting these. So much fun to pop. |
