We have it on our computers in my Astronomy class. Type in the coordinates and see if anything comes up. Everything should be charted there. I don't have it on mine at home. It looks like a nebula to me, but it also looks a bit unnatural as if it's been photoshopped or enhanced. |

Probably just stars. NO Way ! ! All objects are at infinity focus. There is no 'foreground' and 'background' focusing of space objects. If the stars are out of focus, so would the anomaly. It's a known professional image and a screen shot of microsoft wwt. And why are the coordinates from the observers location set to somewhere near Seattle when the "photo" was taken in Norway? OP, you are a Schmock. .
