Anonymous Coward User ID: 331367 Austria 01/23/2012 04:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | France makes Airbus A380s. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9402815 They also make Renaults. Still want to fly in an Airbus? Haha .. i own a french car, all your cliches about french workmanship are totally .. true. Anyone ever seen those old french comedy movies where in every car chase the car loses parts throughout the whole story until at the end of the chase there is nothing left, only wheels and steering wheel. Well ... basically this is not an overblown cartoony effect at all. |

The way they work and educate the work force is second to none. I know the French can be difficult when in France against the English, but make no mistake their aircraft engineering is world class and I am a far better person for being an employee of Airbus. Just check how many A320/s are sold and have been sold each year. They will never make a profit on the A380 but it's a great flag ship for a great company. |

Parachutes wouldn't not be practical. There's always some risk involved with traveling, even by air. As far as wing cracking, there could be many causes... quality of the materials, training and experience of the labor force, human factors such as stress and fatigue during assembly, inspection procedures followed before it receives an Airworthiness Certificate or equivalent... or perhaps the copilot failed to catch it during their preflight walk-around (or maybe it's not visible to the eye; if made with composites, flaws aren't always seen with the naked eye but there could be cracking beneath the surface). China's not to blame... |
