It's referenced as the Predator's Mind by Castaneda, the Masters of the Outer Darkness by the South American natives, and in other cultures under different names.
I think that the christian gnostic interpretaion was based on earlier material and hence frmaed by that understanding.
Remember that 'gods' in ye olde times were personified Principles originally, not individual entities as such.

The fact you asked me this means you are on the right track. Nature is your best friend and holds ALL the answers. Seek out solitude in nature as often as possible and just enjoy it for the beauty it is, but don't forget to be aware of mother nature or she will bitch slap you. You must treat her with utmost respect. She is the one who nurtured you after all. Its the least you could do. You don't have to seek nature every day. Just when you get a chance(and you will). So what do you do when you find yourself alone in nature? Reflect on your activities of the day and then the day before and so on till you hit a point where you will be like.. WOW, thats what that was all about earlier in the day. NOW i know what i must do in that respect.

I have a pond i go to two or three times a week to reflect. The rest of the week i just reflect in my room. I get so much more energy to move forward when in nature though. Its like refilling at the gas station for your soul. I hang out under my favorite tree that just so happens to have three different places i can sit comfortably and enjoy its shade while looking out into the horizon and sky. When i am done i thank the tree by giving it a pat and smile and move on. There is nothing wrong with daydreaming. It is a way of practicing meditation... Oh, did i say i was giving you a crash course... Oh yeah, thats right.

If you forget or cant do everything i just said, then no worries. The seed has been planted for your soul to grow from. And just remember this...

This all started when I met a girl named Sally. So let me begin with what she told me. Your body, or avatar is like lightning. When you see, or interpret the visual pixilation called lightning, the signals are merely arranged to show a flash in the back of your antenna like skull. The lightning did not move as the energy was always there. Ions and other holographic tutelages – excite that temporal region, or space with luminescence to give the impression of three dimensional movement. Nothing is actually moving; energy fills the mind with space and color whenever the mind believes it is turning its perception into a certain direction. Sally had me racing at first. She flipped me through different places. First I shot through the roof of the house and into the sky, and then into space, noticing the planets as if they were pages in a book. But Sally said those thin lines, or transparent sheets you’re feeling, are intertwining energies that make up the grid. Sally had me laughing then at the idea of authority. The notion of a police officer was the funniest thing. They were merely smears of color doing nothing really, but painting pictures of ugly. All that energy for nothing, they were so pointless. That was the real rub, but it was confronting as “It” was what I was accustomed to. I started getting paranoid as I felt a million faces watching me, even though no one was in the house that I could see. It was more like whatever I was experiencing was affecting the grid and everything around me for miles and miles in every direction, so surely everyone knew what I was doing here. I had messed with the ether; that was it. ---Shit, I was drawing unwanted attention from something.

Sally tapped me on the shoulder and said, “They’re up there watching you.” She was talking about the archons. Of course they were all wearing different avatars as if clothes. I could not see them visually per say, but knew they were there, watching me from above. Feelings were relaying their presence through my imagination. Okay let me point out, me and these guys have a history. And some strange, prehistoric bird was talking to her from the corner of the room, near the ceiling. She had told me about Mr. Lord of Flies earlier but I thought she was dingy. This all transpired over about three weeks, and yes, I’m leaving out a lot, especially about the séance, shadows, and especially the dreams – but those have been ongoing really. And then there was the time when I played chicken sounds on a Mantis and 3 greys on a golf course (Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA) with a surfer buddy, who was never the same after that. I tried to charge the tall one with a flag pole, but they could move in inhuman ways --- if you turned to look for a second, they would be in a totally different spot. The Mantis was all blacked out, but I got away. It was like 3:30 am, and yes we had smoked pot beforehand and been clubbing. They did come in our apartment at night for a time, but I broke out of sleep paralysis one night with several around my bed and went after them with a large knife, so… They must’ve went through the walls was the only thing I could figure.

Anyway, back on subject: Sally. Once the gripping, plastic feeling started to leave I welcomed more and more the blankets of my bed, even though it was warm and I lived on the barrier islands of NC. The internet shown splendidly, like electrical magic. Everything was being resold to me. Somehow I had changed. From there, they use the diluted, and lesser diluted aeon energies to project the image of that aeon, as if remembering itself in a dream, into shape, or bodies within the simulated environment. So in a sense, the aliens are viral first and foremost and are intertwined like a parasite with our life essence through the ego interface and the feelings and belief in the Matrix. At least to me they are. For instance breathing. Breathing allows the Matrix to upload updates, sensations, and corruptions (oxygenation, aging, etc.) to the aeon via the life experience. This thread has thoroughly explained what I mean by corrupting through the life experience, or the wearing down of the life essence through love and the inevitable loss of it all, thereby changing positive energies into negative energy by the choices people make, desires, depression, and suffering by the shear notion that you believe the life experience to be you. Your totality. ---The archon/ alien deception, as negative energies cannot force the positive to change polarity, but can coerce it to. Archons, principalities, rule by deception and just like you take, or perceive to take energy through digesting matter and breaking food into smaller particles, in a snake-like fashion (peristalsis), so do “they” in order to grow.
