Lost my job what the bill collecters didn't take my x-wife did I started over with nothing but the clothes on my back. Now I have a house that is paid for 2 cars paid for and zero bills so it can be done just hang in there. :sigjosh: :ronswansontax: “We have allowed our nation to be over taxed and over regulated and overrun by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with.” Ron Paul . “My idea of a perfect government is one guy who sits in a small room at a desk, and the only thing he’s allowed to decide is who to nuke. Beherenow User ID: 8479003 United States 01/23/2012 08:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The company I worked for fired me about a week ago. Quoting: grrttsgar I travel as a part of my work. I do not live where they fired me so I bought a car and drove to Missoula Mt. I am starting over again at age 45. 2 promising job leads. Inside a bit of fear of the unknown. $7,000 in the bank so I will be OK there for a while anyway. Share your starting over story. I could really use some encouragement. I was 4 1/2 years with the company. They say every thing happens for a reason I believe that heart and soul. I am just a little down looking for the bright side. Fired or laid off? Big difference when it comes (if needed) to unemployment. You'll make it through. Just keep your focus and look for the best in the situation. I wish you the best of luck! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2530337 United States 01/23/2012 08:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | what do you mean you didn't live where they fired you so you bought a car? I would think you wouldn't want to buy a car after your income stream is cut off? Anyway, in the end, there are always jobs out there for people willing/able to work. My advice is for you to sell that new car and live your life as a free man until you get your spirit/health back. Then start looking again. |

Lots of money to be made. The adds that I have seen you need to be able to change the tires on the truck as well as change the oil. Other adds want you to pay for the info on where to apply. Its like a day late and a dollar short on the oil boom thing. But if something comes up I will look into it. One of the leads I do have is for local at $20.47/hr to start rotating shift(I am used to that). |

The Dude Jeff User ID: 3639588 United States 01/23/2012 08:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was able to get my job back but had to move away from all my friends and family. Started a new job where I didn't know anyone in a town where I didn't know anyone. I hung in there and now have been able to move closer to my family and am making nearly twice what I was before the surgery. All that terrible shit made me stronger and I'm better off than before If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already. LOL no those are scams I work at a disposal well and talk to truck drivers every day none of them do any of those things they got mechanics for that. Most of them work 12 to 14 hour shifts pretty easy work the only thing you have to do is get out hook up two hoses to load and unload and be able to read a strap tape so you can gauge the tanks pretty easy work plus you will get full benfits in 90 days. I know for a fact they are hiring here where I live I get offerd jobs every day. I made a post with a picture of my truck(image has been removed). Thread: Department of Homeland Security going into underground storage facility. Things have seemed a little strange since then. Seems like it was coming they were just looking for a reason. |
