Fox News just had a NASA expert on, he said the Radiation Cloud hit the Earth 30 minutes ago (said it at 12:56 pm EST).

definitely not a NASA expert then. lol

That display is broken due to lack of solar wind data from ACE spacecraft. Magnetic field data might be ok (or might not) but it should be glowing bright red or white in the pressure display.

This is an exaggerated scene to make it look fictious. But that movie has real warnings.

Remember Mexico Gulf Oil disaster? This is predicted in that movie before it happened

Notice the aurora at sky and people running in panic. This scene represent the chaos after collapse due to global electrical grid failure.

And this trailer is from bbc tv series The day of Triffids.

Yep solar wind speed is broken due to S3 storm according to NASA. Other readings may be suspect as well.

From the video description: "RADIATION STORM IN PROGRESS"
Solar protons accelerated by this morning's M9-class solar flare are streaming past Earth. On the NOAA scale of radiation storms, this one ranks S3, which means it could, e.g., cause isolated reboots of computers on board Earth-orbiting satellites and interfere with polar radio communications. An example of satellite effects: The "snow" in this SOHO chronograph movie is caused by protons hitting the observatory's on board camera...

Note [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

See values of 3 or 4 for all of today under status

# 3 = data are bad: solar wind speed input errors; model output likely unreliable
# 4 = missing Wing Kp data

The prediction graphic at [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] is blank.

Event Summery:
-Sudden Geomagnetic Impulse detected @ 15:04
-A Geomagnetic Storm Watch is in effect
-S3 Solar Radiation Storm is ongoing
-Strongest Proton Storm since 2003
-Protons are rising again with this CME arrival
-NOAA sites are down at this time 17:55 UTC

right now, no NOAA data is avaliable
We all see the CME on the HI2 images
but the data was showing no effects on arrival
a lot of the data seams to have been effected greatly due to this very strong proton storm [link to mysolaralerts.blogspot.com]

I receive a near 6 figure income, enjoying life and enjoying the status quo. I've taken a few minutes to realize that most people here are uneducated and poor. I need to personally remember this when I type. :\

Ground induction off the charts.

My assumption is the absorption is getting critical, we are in the thick of the storm and the rain tarp is saturated, in simple terms.

Re: Fasten your seat belts, the radiation is on its way. 1 hr to go.
The largest solar radiation outburst in six years is on its way to Earth and will hit our planet with high-energy atomic particles at around 2 pm GMT. [link to wwp.greenwichmeantime.com]

The major impact will occur in the North Pole area: routes of some near North Pole flights have been changed.
The functioning of the ISS will not be affected. Taking into consideration the prognosis for the solar storm, the ISS crew will not even have to take additional radiation security measures.
Massive ejections of plasma, or coronal mass, from the Sun have often resulted in communication and other satellites, as well as ground communications facilities failing. They can cause magnetic storms but bring no evident harm to the health of the planet’s population.
The first solar storm this year was registered on January 19 by NASA’s extra-magnetospheric satellites at the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory SOHO, Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory STEREO, and Advanced Composition Explorer ACE. Occurring after two storm-free months, that storm was ranked a relatively weak grade 5.
