Re: For Those Who Thought Strange Sounds Are A Hoax
Anyway, for those who want to discuss, and those who have heard this thing, what does your gut tell you? Does it sound like anything natural to you?
From what little I've heard of it on video's, it doesn't sound like something that bodes well.

Any thoughts?
 Quoting: Stand!

Before I heard this sound, appr 2 months prior to it I was laying in bed sound asleep and was abruptly awakened by strong vibrations and grinding sounds that sounded like one of those giant boring machines.

Then when I heard the sound being discussed, it sounded like a grinding and like the tripods from War of the worlds tripod things.

it sounded like it was coming similtaniously from underground and the sky.

This was in paterson nj. Appr 35 miles from NYC. No real trains, no major waterways and a city of appr 100,000

Im still creeped the hell out because I think if it isnt some alien shit, or some secret underground government thing then I believe it might just be some massive plate disturbances and if thats it and its happening all across the earth, what does this say?

Are we being ripped apart or should I hold my heart and start scream "Elizabeth, Oh God, Its the big one!"

I dont know. In my heart, I hope it is otherworldly but my gut sats, massive earthquake and tsunami coming sometime and its gonna be Atlantis big if you know what I mean.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4524242

My own personal choices are this:

1. Government experiment: Produce this sound worldwide, freak out the public, then watch how people respond.

2. Tectonic plates moving which, as you say, is probably the worst possible scenario since it means that Earth is not doing well at all.

I don't believe that aliens have visited us, so that's out
and Trumpets of Heaven, no way...even the lowest angel on the totem pole could play a trumpet better than that sound!!
 Quoting: Stand!

This is the first time I've been to this "sound" thread. I do remember someone with a thread...a southern couple that heard a sound like this--it was a long time ago (sometime within the last 12 months) and it was at night time. I thought, "Well, that's weird..." but didn't dwell on it. I now see this thread today--I will read the entire thread but left off on page 4. Here's what I think...

I think it's legit.

I think it's strange that the "Aussie" guy keeps at it. Most posters would just let it go...I also think it's strange that the people that don't buy it are so "abusive".
That in itself is a big red flag.

I am a born-again christian and I do NOT think this is spiritual/supernatural.

Lots of people THIS year have heard this sound. If this had happened before (this frequent) it would have been on the net and someone would have found it and posted it. I saw the Youtube video of the World Series back in the 90's before the earthquake hit and the same strange noise that someone posted. Makes ya go hmmmmmmm.

Not a believer in the 2012 thing...the Mayans, etc. If disaster strikes, I figure I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I've never really paid much attention to all this talk about pole shift either but--I think it could be that or something leading up to a Mega earthquake. Just don't know for sure. Could someone be messing with the public with this sound? A government thing like the poster from above mentioned? I wouldn't count that out.

Now...back to reading this entire post.

I posted before...the born-again christian. Now on page 8 where someone from Turkey posted a Youtube vid...the dog freaking out on this six minute video gave me the creeps. I still don't think it's spiritual/supernatural but the dog reacting to it like that gave me a bad feeling. Hadn't had a "bad" feeling until I heard that dog.

Okay, back to reading more of the thread.

On a personal note (born-again christian here)...I am just starting page 14 and see "Aussie" is still at it. Kind of redundant. I already know how he/she feels about this thread so from now on I will not read any more posts by "Aussie"...it's getting old. Still don't think the sound is spiritual/supernatural. Like another person stated, when the Biblical "Trumpets" do come, you'll know. Carry on...

Going to say this again on this thread, I (and hundrets of other people in my town( have heard these sounds over a period of maybe a week or so many years ago already, like 2005/2006.

THEY ARE NOT NEW.

You're right. They aren't new. Tape of World Series game back in the 90's proves that. The sounds have been heard a LOT this year alone though.

I wanted to get up and record them, but it was 3 in the am and freezing outside, so I decided to forget about it. Maybe next time.

"for some reason".

The reason is clear IMHO. It's the Law of Confusion. There must be a way for those who do not want to believe. The abundance of hoaxes plays this role very well.

Those not wanting to believe have all the reasons they want. They'll take a look and conclude: "This is complete BS" and not look back again.

All is well.

For those who believe. The sounds are a good sign. We should all rejoice! Gaia is well on her way and these sounds are coming from her. :)

Hey guys, I might have discovered some magnetotelluric phenomenon that show some sort of a link between the Eastern seaboard of the US and the Hikurangi Trench ( The trench New Zealand is located on the edge of )

There seem to be energy discharges in the form of loud booms heard on the East coast, and seismic activity at the trench.

Have correlated credible witness videos of noises on the eastern coast, and Canada, in regards to the antipode areas, along with seismic activities.

There is a connection of sorts between geographical antipode areas

In particular, please note the sound heard in Romania
and the resulting earthquake in Christchurh New Zealand a short time later, at the antipode.

Thread: Resonating dusty plasmas composed of amorpheus volcanic ash and micrometeor dust are making the noises in the atmosphere (Page 3)

Afet watching many videos, and reading comments, it is apparent that many people all over the world are hearing these noises, and that there is an active disinfo campaign online to discredit real videos.

Here is a post from a guy who has been hearing/experiencing the same thing up in Canada for the past couple of years now. He has seen a lot of UFOs so his explanation is related to that (them tunneling & making bases underground). But his account has been around & online for a long time now. This link is to his 'digest' version of everything he's experienced up there, but I read the original account back when he first posted it in the summer of 2009.

[link to www.book-of-thoth.com]

Here is an except... it occurs halfway through the top post, entitled 'Is ET Underground?'

Is ET Underground?

Last summer also brought a strange deep thud that occurred numerous times around the beginning of July.

It was July 7th and again, I was on the shoreline by the campfire. I was enjoying the night alone. There was much peace and quiet...It was close to midnight and it was a beautiful warm evening.

I had got up from sitting by the fire and was looking to the south at the sky above the lake. Suddenly there was a very deep metal clank. The thing that it made me think of when I heard it is..BIG metal...BIG steel. Then following the deep metal clank..would be a very deep and solid thud.

The first time I heard it..I had thought that it was coming from the south part of the lake. What I pictured in my mind when the sound came..was "pilings" being driven into the ground...big steel pilings that were being pounded by even bigger steel.
 Quoting: tandym

Interesting theory, but if someone...ET or whatever were building something underground at a specific location, you would keep on hearing it constantly...every day, once a week, etc. The sound does sound like metal/steel though. Man, it is strange. I've never seen a UFO before. Not skeptical about UFO's but not closed-minded to say completely "NO"...our neighbor's parents saw one apparently back in the 70's (before we ever moved to this little town) and I don't think they would make anything up. There was physical evidence on the ground. There is no physical evidence of anything singed (sp) on the ground...just hard to say.

Maybe because the sounds carry 'instructions' and we are more open to 'instruction' while we are sleeping? Just brainstorming out loud, here.

Nah! That's not what I was saying. Everyone can debate anything they want. No problem there. I was only saying that any Truth whatsoever will always come with an alternative for those who wants one. And this includes any scientific hypothesis. You can always come up with different explanations for the same observation.

Then as long as we fail to disprove an hypothesis, it remains valid. But that never ever means that this valid explanation is the Truth. :)

What if these vibrations (sounds) happen right on top of someone? I wonder how they (the person) would be affected?

I wonder if you can only hear them when you're a certain distance away and from certain angles.

So many questions. It's like that part at the beginning of a scary alien movie where the news stations are starting to report a mysterious phenomenon and the people of earth have yet to experience the true nature of what is lurking behind the mysterious noises.

Not all of the sounds, but some of the videos involved in this meme reminded me of large scale natural instruments, in particular an instrument called an Aeolian harp-

Hmmm, near, but not as near as these-

So, power line Aeolian harps ? The sound on the meme vids certainly
represent large resonances of some sort; but the amplitude (volume !)..
Someone under the power line vid suggests googling
'CONDUCTOR CORONA NOISE PREDICTION ON HIGH VOLTAGE AC LINES or also very interesting HIGH SPEED DIGITAL PROTECTION OF EHV TRANSMISSION LINES USING TRAVELING WAVES.'
I may be misunderstanding, as it goes all techie when one googles that, but this seems to suggest that sounds like these can be turned on and off, as they normally can interfere with the function of the lines...
