Said by the ancients to be four times the mass of Jupiter, they also say, that when it swings by it passes close enough to us for its atmosphere and our atmosphere to mix. Its atmosphere would be methane, our atmosphere is oxygen, when you mix the two together you get fire that rains down from the sky, this is exactly what happens in the movie. Such a heavy object would cause the earth to groan and moan because of the Titanic stresses. | Odd Sounds User ID: 1396911 United States01/25/2012 08:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What we have heard in Knoxville, TN sounds just as you describe - as if a jumbo jet is flying 1/2 a mile away, but neither gets further or closer...happens intermittently - we've heard it on and off for about 6-10 weeks - thought it was a plant near us but cn't be sure and after 12 years in the same place, we had never heard it before. I can't speculate what it could be otherwise, but it is kind of odd...  |

Thought it was my pellet stove at first but noticed it when stove wasn't on, as it is off tonight too which is what got me searching for it. Erie. |
