Obama calls for mandatory school attedance
Obama calls for extension of mandatory school attendance age

"When students are not allowed to drop out, they do better. So tonight, I am proposing that every state -- every state -- requires that all students stay in high school until they graduate or turn 18." ~Obama, 2012 State of the Union Address

Next will be mandatory religious attendance - which will complete the NWO indoctrination.

One could only hope mandatory religious attendance would be enacted... its the greatest power of the NWO.
I don't think any "religious" ceremonies should be forced.. however with it...voluntarily everywhere...the NWO would be crippled...

lol, now that parents are catching on that school is a scam that's making their children stupid. kids could be competing with the market by the time they're 15-16, but gotta make sure they stay in school and either get brainwashed into pursuing a political science degree, or get into drugs and drop out of life.

what does it say about America that you are forced to attend an institution for 12 years of your life?

Not so sure this could be a good thing. First off if the kid doesn't want to be at school he/she could cause problems in class that keep those who want to learn from doing so. Also in a small way it's seems no different then locking them up behind bars.

I finished high school early. I checked out and went to work full time for six months before higher education classes started at the end of Aug. Under this proposal would I have still been able to do this? Or would I be stuck sitting in a classroom while waiting for graduation day at the end of May?

BS. I dropped out. Received my GED and earned a college degree WITHOUT any remedial courses.

Re: Obama calls for mandatory school attedance
A BAD IDEA! (and i am a democrat). One of the happiest days of my life was when my son quit 9th grade at the age of 16. Does that tell you something--namely that he resisted school so much that he was failed twice. He HATED school although he was very smart. He got a job, got his GED when he was 18, and went on to have a VERY good career for a HS dropout. At the age of 25 he was seriously disabled due to a (non work related) accident. At the age of 28 doing not much of anything lost what little appeal it had had, and he started college--now at age 31 he is a full time junior in mechanical engineering, straight A student. His disability while somewhat severe, is not so severe as to prevent him from getting an engineering job in the future. Some people just have to find their own way, not be forced to stay in school...

AC, not sure what you're calling BS on here.

What I'm saying is I had all my credits at the end of first semester my senior year, but graduation ceremonies didn't take place until the end of May. I worked full time for six months to save money before starting college in Aug.

MANY CHURCH LEADERS and politicians are unified on the hotly debated issue of legislating Sunday as a day of rest. Today, great efforts are being made to gain influence in the executive and legislative circles of the United States federal government in order to enact laws for the observance of Sunday as a national day of rest. The thrust is not overtly religious but is couched in a concern for the welfare of the American family. This activity is being duplicated in other parts of the world as well under the same pretense.

Probably has more to do with military recruitment of high school seniors.

No more homeschooling then.
Ban guns to "save the children" but killing them in the womb is totally cool......I see; it makes perfect sense now.
