While that seems interesting, how do we know it's not a trick? And even if it's legit, in time it will go the way of Google, youtube, etc. I'm also a little bothered by the fact that they have a GOOGLE toolbar built into the browser. I understand they claim you can use Google anonymously, but why put an actual GOOGLE bar in the browser? Why not let the user decide which site he wants to visit? I can't help but be skeptical. |

Ms. Bow, I just went to my internet options and blocked www.google.com signed out of you tube and tried signing back in, got a notice, you have disabled your cookies please turn them back on..But it is not March 1, yet is it? There is all that yadi yadi ya about we are making it easier for you crappe. We changed our privacy crappe etc. I started with the original you tube, my agreement was with them. I don't know if I am bound to accept the new changes. I saw a story about litigation starting to break the google monopoly, a while back. Google destroyed you tube, basically, I joined in 2007, and there were several great sweeps of friends and subscribers. Doing away with friends, was the last straw I thought, but this "new we changed out policy" is about as low and slimy as they can go, I am wondering if there is an attorney reading this thread that could offer advice.? |

Mr. Obvious, I only joined facebook in order to comment in newspaper stories, I have my security and access to information completely blocked, I was amazed at the sources they accessed to find friends for me, which I never acknowledged. I suggest to everybody that they remove all info from those sites. You know if somebody wants my cookies they better darn well pay me for them. |

Not as fluid and quick as google, but still. This all sucks, because I use Chrome with my gmail account to sync my bookmarks and web apps across computers (home and work). It's been really helpful. Uh, sorry bro. This IS connected with Google. It's very easy to detect. If you have the [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] called NO SCRIPT, it blocks scripts on every web page you visit. There's a drop-down menu that allows you to see all the scripts running and decide whether to block or allow any or all. When I went to cuil.pt, I clicked the menu and there are THREE scripts running. The scripts are: GOOGLEAPIS and GOOGLE-ANALYTICS. EVERYONE should have Firefox with this add-on. |

There are a few good private non tracking search engines look them up they dont track your IP and respect privacy. Also if it comes down to it quit using Youtube I guess or fight back in some way and use none of googles services of course. |
