We're all guilty of this, but has anyone else noticed a bit too much of this lately? I want to know people's experiences

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

I'd like to go quietly in my sleep, like grandpa did. Not screaming in terror like the people in the back seat of the car he was driving.

We're all conditioned to be unconscious 24/7.. through 40 hours a week of working to the bullshit spouted every time you turn on a TV. You're made to not think.. and it's comfortable for people..

Its all about the Marxist overthrow you see, turning everyone into a collective, removing the individual.
So then everyone will worship the dear leader as planned.

Re: Has anyone else noticed the lack of continium of thought in the average individual?
To give you a straight answer, I used to believe that applying one single method or system to every problem was a good thing. If nothing else, people could call me consistent. However, I was also called wrong far too often, as the world is far too strange and diverse a place to be explained by one single standard dogma.

Consistency in math is one thing, in explaining something as complex as the world, it can only fall down. My thoughts and beliefs may be all over the map, but only because the world is all over the map.

Good answer, tho it has little to do with what I meant, a focus isn't what I'm going for, rather the lack of one. The ability to fly with God. Focus creates stress.

Sure it makes things easierhf

Re: Has anyone else noticed the lack of continium of thought in the average individual?
Yes I notice this and it is very annoying. People are just plain boring any more and they try to make everything into a stupid joke or take it as an insult to start a fight. Mulling something over seems impossible for them. They just want to act like they know it all on the spur of the moment, so what is the point of even trying to have a discourse with them to learn something new? Most people will be stuck in the same ideologies no matter how much they talk about and debate them, like they never change their minds.

I don't know if this is chemical poisoning, early alzheimers or if it is just laziness of thinking. People seem to rely more on their base instincts rather than higher thought processes, espeically those involving moral questions. That is why most people are spiritually retarded. They can't get past their own first impressions, even when it comes to the things God.

Colleges even seem to dumb you down instead of encouraging questioning and developing new ideas and methods. They think that the Socratic style of teaching means to never teach but to drop hints to get people to give the answer that they expect. That is really more like brain washing than stimulating learning however. I don't really think that is what Socrates had in mind when he said to teach by asking questions. The questions really need to come from within the students themselves and not just be rhetorical devices.

Losing control over one's own higher thought processes leads to insanity. If you don't use it you lose it. If you are able to think, keep it up, or you will just be herded to you demise with the rest of the dumb beasts.

Its a thing of the past.People have no compassion for one another either.I have seen my own family members do nasty things to one another for no good reason that shocked me.Its almost like people get off on seeing someone else suffer. Some want to argue and I watch trying to figure out what caused that to happen.Nothing really.
No thought to any consequence of doing something.People I have known for lifetime I no longer seem to relate to.I stay home as much as possible just to avoid people in general.People are rude, insulting, and cruel just because.

Personally I notice myself having trouble keeping my train of thought. For example I read my water meter 3 times before I actually decided I was going to have to take paper and pen to write it down because it would slip from my mind on the way back inside. Also very forgetful and I struggle to find cause to set any goals.
