Quoting: scared tourist 9620349 I visited the USA as a tourist, and I was robbed in Miami. I'm glad I wasn't killed. But other tourists were not as lucky as I was: they got killed while visiting the USA. A few examples... In 1998, the German tourist Horst Fietze was killed while visiting Los Angeles, California: [link to www.surfsantamonica.com] In 2010, another German tourist, Mechthild Schröer, was shot and killed while visiting San Francisco, California: [link to www.thelocal.de] In 2011, two British tourists, James Cooper and James Kouzaris, were killed while visiting Florida: [link to seattletimes.nwsource.com] It's a very dangerous country! Tourists beware! Don't visit that place! I'm sure Brazil is much much safer LOL |

Quoting: Madame X Unfortunately I'm a girl, easy target, although we have had visiting soldiers beaten to a pulp in the downtown. NatureBoy. Mme. X! 'unfortunately' come on... I bet lots of folks are happy you're a girl. Seriously though, there are places in Milwaukee and Chicago I avoid completely, and other places I avoid while alone. Anonymous Coward User ID: 15010228 France 05/17/2012 09:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The States are quite safe. In fact, as a whole, much safer than parts of France where brown people (from Brazil probably) riot, set vehicles on fire, and turn them over. Brown ass stains should stay in the third world countries where they belong in South America and Africa. Those disgusting excuses for humans are destroying civilized culture anywhere they go, thus causing violence in otherwise civilized countries. Brazil, for example, is ground zero of the third world problem. Frankly, they have more in common with Somalia than Europe, British Commonwealth nations, the United States, Japan, China or Korea. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 15010228 France 05/17/2012 09:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Brazilians also are carriers of all types of infectious diseases, smell like feces (not making this up!), and the obvious lack of oral or any other type of hygiene. I'm not saying that the Europeans are perfect, but one trip to Brazil and I feel as if simply looking at the hordes of filthy brown children on the streets will somehow infect me. No race that smells so badly like feces can possible be healthy to come in contact with. |

Here where I live, in the south of Brazil, this kind of crimes are quite rare and doesn't resemble cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27667120 Canada 01/03/2013 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am a Canadian and I used to cross the border religiously, for years. Until the DHS ( gestapo) took over. Staffed by a bunch of dumb, ignorant, fat idiots on a power trip.Gave me a hard time because I had a military passport. Though I was a f&^*(n terrorist or something. I used to spend a lot of money in the US, and I even had some property at one time. I won't go back until the DHS is dismantled, which is never. I never had a problem with crime though, and I have been all over that country, even to some of the biggest crap holes of all time ( think California).Just be street smart, blend in and that's all.Easier for a canuck though than someone who may stand out as touristy looking. |

When we did get out and walk around, it was a fucking nightmare in some places. We did stay at a very nice hotel in Manaus....gorgeous. But there's some crazy people there. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9624853 no shame really... Certain major cities of Italy aren't any better. It made me furious to see all the spades in the city center selling their useless fucking junk, harassing White tourists and holding their hands out. Italy needs a clean up, too. Yeah my aunt and cousin were in Italy last summer and whoa did she have some stories. At one point she called her husband sobbing wanting to come home. Once they realized she spoke very little Italian, they were disrespectful, rude, and swindlers. A damn shame too, because we are Italian American, and she was there for two weeks touring and visiting where our ancestors lived. She said she would never go back. And wtf is up with not being able to use the bathroom between like 3-5 am?! "May the road rise up to meet you.... May the wind be always at your back..." |
