This is all fixed by the paid for media. They won't give Paul time or positive stories but they are making a conscious effort to destroy the others.

The media is bought and paid for and have a gun to their head. But they know to a man (or woman) that if anyone but Paul wins the country is finished. Secretly they don't want this but can't really stop it because "bad things" will happen to them if they speak for Paul.
