Gotta step in here for a moment. Here in the Netherlands we see that in the big cities which are much more diverse than some of the smaller cities and villages, there are hardly any racists. The racists in our country are (maybe surprisingly) exactly there where there are hardly any foreigners.

i think that's natural. People in cities have much more distractions and are busier with running their own lives to care about everyone else who is doing the same in the same city. Too many people. In the more rural areas, they still know their neighbors. The biggest reason why people enjoy rural areas is the sense of community. The small town people are more aware of the changes to their environment. That could be why they seem more racist. Maybe they are just more protective. It could be that they see what happens in the cities and want to part of it to spread to their small community. I think personally think multiculturalism and a lot of liberalism is being used to destroy the once-powerful white race, to give everyone an equal opportunity to be a slave. Our communities are of no concern. I used to be against racism, now I think its to the point where the pendulum must swing back the other way a bit so that society can find a balance. If people want to be racist, then I don't care. If someone wants to call me a cracker, I don't care. I will no longer stand up for the weak because they've been too many have been given too much and think they've earned it.

There is definitely truth to some of the things you say. People in smaller cities and villages are much more conservative, reluctant to change. The thing is though, that diversification is not per se a bad thing. It's has to do with the fear of the ol' familiar comfort zone being threatened. Change is scary for many people.

Personally, I enjoy talking to people with different backgrounds. I think it's interesting. I work for a multinational company and I love it.

But I am also pretty much where you are at. I don't care much about racism, even though I think it's ignorant. I usually don't feel the need to jump on topics like this either. This was pretty much an exemption because I like the OP.

If someone would call me a cracker (which never happened to me in my life) I would laugh too.

Also, if I would run into a billboard like the one in the video, I wouldn't even pay attention to it because I don't think it applies to me. People who are getting worked up over this might.

But regardless of us meddling in or not, lets not kid ourselves over here. Racism does still exist and minorities are quite often disadvantaged.
