why aren't more Americans and Canadians actually posting what the snow has really been like in their area?

I have noticed the weather has been very mild in the UK for winter, apart from a couple of days of light snow here and there....

something is very wrong with the weather, sun, earth or moon position, I presume it's both the moon and earth that has tilted and not the sun....obviously.....

I would still give it until the end of 2013 before I would write off the mayan/nibiru/planet x stuff tbh.....

something just isn't right in our galaxy......can't you sense it? can't you feel it? can't you see it?

Nothing is wrong with the earth or tilt. Weather does not follow the same pattern every time. Nothing is wrong with the moon or the sun either.

there is a video detailing how many meteors and fireballs with sound were filmed from 2008 to 2013. I watched it the other day (I think on glp, but can't find it now)......and basically the number of meteors and fireballs videoed with sound has increased dramatically in the past couple of years.....

anyone got the video?

Hey IDW, when was the last time the LX200 Classic had an update of any kind?

And yet, out of the box, with no updates whatsoever, they track flawlessly.

Updates are good -- they fix bugs and add objects to the database. But the models I mentioned have no mechanisms whatsoever without removing the chips altogether. Yet, they work. Can you *explain* that, IDW/A.A? Do you believe that all telescopes manufactured before 2000 are unable to track the heavens?

Autostar has been good about updates; there was one in January 2013 and the earlier version is from August 2012. Both, of course, require connecting the controller to a computer, but the telescopes will track without the upgrade just fine.

Celestron hasn't issued an update since 2007. Does that mean all Celestron GOTO telescopes are now broken?

How would a STARWHEEL work if there was unpredicted motions of the Earth? How do you IMAGINE it would get updated? Why can you use a Starwheel from 30 years ago and still find constellations rising and setting on time?

How are eclipses, transits, and occultations predicted so accurately, then -- some *centuries* in advance?

What evidence can you give that Newton's numbers have failed because of unpredicted electromagnetic forces?

How are such objects tracked *now?* Once the orbital elements are known, you can track an object whenever you want to, its just a matter of plugging in numbers. Hell, there are apps on your Iphone or Android that do it, and they cost *nothing.*

By the way, the prediction of 90 degrees on Christmas day in the northern states was very conservative, and will mist likely be worst. By that time it won't matter anyway, because there will be no way to say "I told you so", no do i revel in being able to beat my chest and take credit for predicting that probability.

Winter storm watches have been issued across Oklahoma and Kansas in preparation of Winter Storm Rocky. This system is expected to be as significant, if not even worse, than Winter Storm Q two days ago. These people will be heard only by the intelligent, which I believe is the intent. One way or another a rapid evolution of the human species will be the result. It is an unintelligent individual that does not perceive that things are changing rapidly and that the 'elite' are reacting to a threat they see in our immediate future.
All of the weather forecasts and telescope distractions aren't going to change anything, but they are keeping the truth under wraps by derailing this thread. No one here will dare deny space weather information is being censored and withheld and that many sources have simply disappeared as we watched in real time throughout the history of this thread.

They have narrowed down our sources to government filtered and censored data and we have proved they have altered data. Now read the title of the thread, and if you want to talk about telescopes or some weather channel production about some 'superstorm', go start your own thread.

For 50 of my 52 years the moon rose as a vertical crescent or with the shadow of the terminator in a vertical position when it rose. It now rises with the terminator in in a horizontal position, a smilie face sort of when a crescent moon. This seems to defy what we know about the orbital path of the moon very near to the ecliptic, yet it is an undeniable fact observable by all and confirmed by literally hundreds of people on this website alone..
