Their known history is mainly XVIII and XIX ages (?) and it is a big time gap. There is no direct relationship with ancient times.
You can find some interesting nations like Khazars and Karaites, but they are not related. Khazars and Crimean Karaites are often called Scythians as they are Hunn descendants, but this name does not represent ancient Scythians. Ancient Scythians became Goth or Godos (the ones that run away from invasion) and Sarmatians which later was used for huge area, etc.
Ideology and philosophy of life is a different matter. Scythians did compete with Egyptians which nation was older. Plato refers to Scythian social structure while writing about Atlantis.
