Just keep in mind Henry, that that page you link to is flawed in terms of its basic idea. It does not report for example the earthquakes in Mexico hardly ever, just check out the mexico quakes for today alone that do not appear on USGS/GI. [ link to www2.ssn.unam.mx] and if it posted the Mexican data you would see the area bespeckled with small quakes continue on down into Mexico and following the whole ring of fire line. I have found that it is the same for many other large regions of the world, that unless the quakes are newsworthy they do not show up on USGS or Global Incident. This skewing of data when projected onto a world map makes California look like a hot spot of activity, and it is, but it is surrounded by many similar hot spots of activity like in Mexico and around the world that simply do not show up in that data. Quoting: ehecatl Wow. 10 or more 4.0 a day.....not good. Can you spell volcano? Where are you located again? anywhere near any pins? Only negative about getting another good link is that it now takes about 2 full minutes to scroll them up to the top of my list where I can check them regularly. Right under the other EQ link now. Thanks buddy. Quoting: HnryBwmn No , it just means as i predicted that the mantle is getting more fluid and slippery as the Earth heats at the level the plates slide on. It is a good thing really FTTB because stress isn't building. Eventually rapid displacement and radical MOVEMENT OF PLATES IS INEVITABLE, AD THEY BEGIN TO FLOAT ON LIQUIFIED MANTLE AND GRAVITATIONAL AND ELECTROMAGNETIC FORCES ACT ON THEM FROM PLANETARY BODIES LIKE THE SUN AND MOON
