It might have been that they were reminded that it is in fact a violation of Federal Law for a Taxpayer funded venue to engage in activities which violate the first amendment, and their recieving a detailed legal explanation of the difference between 'hate speech' (which can be legally censored) and a persons opinion. If you are not breaking the law here and they censor you or block your OP, they are violating the law.
I found it surprising that jews were obviously offended by the rod and see it as a racial slur or insult, kind of like as if you called a non jew a jew.
