I thought my garden was done. I was out splitting some wood the other day and took another look at the garden. I found huge amounts of peppers under the wilted leaves, we've had at least 2 frosts in SW Missouri. I picked over 6 bushel of green bell peppers and a bushel of yellow banana peppers. I've been gardening for most of my life. I'm 55 now. I've never seen such huge green bell peppers. I had a couple the were 2/3 the size of pineapple. A few were 6" diameter and 6" tall. Friggen huge. My GF picked a bushel or so for her family a month ago and let a neighbor pick what they wanted just a month ago.
I thought they were done, boy was I amazed. I've never seen such huge peppers. Might be something to the nuke/growth theory. Certainly got alot of solar radiation this year. I watered alot. Anyone need some peppers? I've dried 3 bushel so far, 3 bushel in the fridge, shredded and still have 4 bushel. Gave a bushel away yesterday, 3 bags to freinds.
If I were less selective, willing to cut off frost damage I could pick 2-3 more bushel....... About 70-80 plants.
