But last summer you were recommending tramadol and hydrocodone for the pain from the elevated solar particles IE the pain of being fried.

Freedom from or the partial alleviation of pain would allow one to continue to function, and would outweigh the negative effects. If I had terminal cancer I would have no qualms about taking morphine to ease the pain. Only one problem though There were no elevated particles frying you. There are still frogs too
