So with IDW/A.A's apparent retreat from the forum, wherein A.A/IDW's nemesis and worst enemy stands nakedly exposed and revealed:

He can blame it on me, on other 'agents,' or any number of other scapegoats. I'm sure he'd like that. But that's not the truth.

IDW/A.A's own ego is his kryptonite -- his ego repeatedly writes checks that his brain is unable to cash. His pattern has been repeated so often that I remain surprised that a psychological condition hasn't been named after him. Though, to be honest, there probably already is a name for such a malady that I am merely unaware of. Certainly a delusion of grandeur is a component of it.

IDW/A.A would not accept a certain challenge from me -- actually there is any number of challenges I made that resulted in nothing but his running away. Many of those made the giant List of What IDW Knows. But other revelations, as it happened, seemed to have caused his possibly permanent retreat.

Since his highly-certain predicted disasters have not materialized, it is proof positive that his near certain claims demand the strictest scrutiny; that contrary to what IDW/A.A has repeatedly said and demonstrated, his claims should require a terrifically high standard of proof and evidence. Even higher now since his ironclad 98.5% prediction utterly failed to materialize.

Perhaps IDW/A.A will take this as a positive experience, and learn from it. Maybe he WILL learn something of how the scientific method is supposed to work. Maybe he WILL look at all his biases and preconceived notions and beliefs, and critically reexamine them. Maybe he WILL learn all those different kinds of logical fallacies, and learn to control his penchant for falling back to them so quickly and readily. Maybe he will learn not to exaggerate so much. Maybe he will learn not to attack so much. Maybe he'll learn to control his temper. Maybe he will learn to separate his IDEA from his sense of SELF. Maybe he'll learn about motes and planks.

But then again, maybe not. His past performance casts doubt on this ever occurring, or these lessons sinking in, no matter how often they've been repeated.

IDW/A.A's cosmology has been dealt a fatal setback. In traditional science, that would mean either a major reworking of the idea, or simply scrapping it altogether and starting from scratch. Whether that's how it works in IDWscience only he knows. And as to how he proceeds from this point of dismal failure is up to him. But for me, it merely means ever *higher* standards of proof when scrutinizing his ideas. After all, I do not believe what I am told without proof -- so, given past performance, IDW/A.A should learn how to traditionally supply a LOT of proof, step by step, and line by line, while losing the rhetoric and the attitude.

Perhaps then he could contribute something positive. I'd like to see that, honestly. But won't be surprised if I don't. It may simply be that the revelations above write the epitaph for IDW/A.A's time at GLP.

Not with a bang, but with a whimper.

I suppose we'll see.

The intent of the thread ere has been fully realized with empirical proof. You can either see I was right or you can't. It's not my problem.

You were *right* about December 21st, 2012 being the great cleansing, wiping out 90 percent of humanity; a prediction which you stated concretely and often for almost two years, citing a better than 98.5% chance you were correct? You are now claiming you were *right* about that?

Hm. It must be that IDW/A.A will next redefine the term "right."
