Should we bring back airships? | |

That would make it two or three days to cross the US, sure, but it would be a lot more scenic. Plus, imagine if they paneled the envelope with solar cells! They could operate at no cost other than maintenance. Quoting: The Guy ![]() |

The man is chosen based on some kind of IQ test, and maybe also a physical tournament, like a decathlon. And women are brought to him, maybe ... when he desires them.” Ron Swanson |

Quoting: northerntomcat I think an entrepreneur would cash in big time if they did it. Not sure if the FAA would be so happy about it. Hmm, depends on how high airships fly. Looks like I have more reading to do! It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out. |

Goodyear's first public relations blimp In the 1930s, Goodyear built two giant rigid airships for the Navy. Within their envelopes, they had internal metal frames used to maintain their shape. The aircraft measured more than two football fields in length and needed 6.5 million cubic feet of helium to become airborne at its gross weight of more than 400,000 pounds. Secondly...that IS our evolution...we will become the second earth or race of the egyptians. Caveat...which originated from the Altanteans...beautiful people in the beginning which delineated into horrible people in the end....sound familiar. However all races had roots in Atlantis. So look for history to repeat itself. No philosophy needed...it is pretty dry, cut and clear what will occur! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 754169 In order to make it work, it would have to be HUGE like a cruise ship. That way you could have entertainment and your own bedroom, movie theater, etc.. That's doable. In fact, if it's covered in solar cells, the bigger the gas bag, the better. It's good to be open-minded, just don't let your brain fall out. |
