If anything this should be warning to all that everything you say on the internet is being monitored and that you are all being put on lists that you know nothing about. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5616706 Probably a bucket list It's easy to find something worth dying for. Do you have anything worth living for? |

I was involved in a situation where the FBI showed up at my house made a joke, and the officer said "the fbi has no sense of humor, sir" in a stone cold face it must take years of training to not laugh, or be friendly dr You can easily replace FBI with KGB nowadays, quotes are almost word-to-word when translated from Russian. I recently watched "That darn cat" and all the FBI agents there were like ordinary normal people. Probably 45 years of natural selection created the new species of FBI men and I don't like it. I had it enough with soviet bureaucracy and militia. |

Our intelligence service is so fucked up, you mossad and 9/11 plus bush the zionazi to blame for that.... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 659699 Twitter is a trap just like Facebook and the Internet as a whole. Life just isn't the same anymore I've been here at GLP for about 8 years, and for this exact reason i have never offered much of an "opinion" here. Sure i may be a bore for conversation, but I'm still on the "green" list. :) :tounge: |

(in bold) After (cold war) years of practice, I stopped joking in airports a long time ago. ALL airports. Although... the temptation often arises to drop that golden oldie: Customs Agent: "Do you have anything to declare?" Me: "Yes. I am Batman." There must be a law that people can't lie. |

How did they know it was them so fast? I bet they watch all comms on planes. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1470741 I wonder if Twitter sends them the messages directly if they involve certain keywords cause I can't see how they could have just been monitoring to find it? I'll bet they just monitor. Check out this keyword search engine for twitter and fb, pretty handy [link to www.icerocket.com] You can call it chronic paranoia... I call it critical thinking |

How did they know it was them so fast? I bet they watch all comms on planes. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1470741 Yeah, I don't get how they picked up on some random tweets like that. Maybe Twitter redirects through some kind of security programs designed to pick up certain words and the context. Very weird. Look up a company called Narus, or NarusInsight Software. Narus is a subsidiary of Boeing and was co-founded in Israel. The software was originally installed in AT&T's San Francisco Internet backbone. You can bet a much improved variant is running on all Internet backbones now. unplug, I did... |

Maybe they should have ask "Can I think about you in the shower tonight?" The when the stuck up TSA freaks said no, "I'm gonna' think about you anyway". It couldn't make the situation any worse, so they might as well stay in character. bring pop corn to watch that one! Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. 'I'm going to destroy America and dig up Marilyn Monroe': British pair arrested in U.S. on terror charges over Twitter jokes Quoting: Laura Bow By Richard Hartley-parkinson Last updated at 1:11 PM on 30th January 2012 Two British tourists were barred from entering America after joking on Twitter that they were going to 'destroy America' and 'dig up Marilyn Monroe'. Leigh Van Bryan, 26, was handcuffed and kept under armed guard in a cell with Mexican drug dealers for 12 hours after landing in Los Angeles with pal Emily Bunting. The Department of Homeland Security flagged him as a potential threat when he posted an excited tweet to his pals about his forthcoming trip to Hollywood which read: 'Free this week, for quick gossip/prep before I go and destroy America'. After making their way through passport control at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) last Monday afternoon the pair were detained by armed guards. Despite telling officials the term 'destroy' was British slang for 'party', they were held on suspicion of planning to 'commit crimes' and had their passports confiscated. Leigh was also quizzed about another tweet which quoted hit US comedy Family Guy which read: '3 weeks today, we're totally in LA p****** people off on Hollywood Blvd and diggin' Marilyn Monroe up! Federal agents even searched his suitcase looking for spades and shovels, claiming Emily was planning to act as Leigh's 'look out' while he raided Marilyn's tomb. Bar manager Leigh, from Coventry, and Emily, 24, from Birmingham, were then quizzed for five hours at LAX before they were handcuffed and put into a van with illegal immigrants and locked up overnight. Marilyn Monroe is in a crypt, in a wall, at a mausoleum. There is no unearthing to do. The DHS was acting stupid. The tweets did the problem. If the British visitors typed them in Spanish, they would go unnoticed by the Los Angeles security groups. |
