Amazing Grace, thank you. i have calmed down since earlier this afternoon. but my mind wants to tell me to act out, not wait for that still small voice. i havent been useing my patient to listen for the Father lately. work retail during the holiday i just lost all connectedness feeling. may God bless you all. oh btw i use to have that john 14 about peace on my door. thank you for reminding me. I think i need to say silent and let God lead me. but what if my hearing is off. i guess i should pray for faith. sorry if im seeming self absorbed. i Know their are others on this forum needing help. thank you all im feeling needy and sad. and old 53 with a nine year old boy still at home.

Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.

Dear Father,

We lift up CH's stepmom. We ask that you would touch her heart and show her YOUR mercy and love. Let her know that YOU are there for her and flood her with YOUR PEACE that passes all understanding. Draw her back to YOU through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

We also ask that you would give her strength and wisdom with dealing with CH's teenage brother.

Thank you, LORD, that you hear our prayers and that YOU answer in YOUR perfect timing,

Therefore, LORD, in the precious NAME OF JESUS, I ask that you release healing miracles into this man's life now. Bless him in a mighty way and remove all hinderances that are pulling him down.

Restore his health, his marriage and his finances.... and let him walk in the wisdom and revelation and knowledge of our LORD JESUS.

I speak blessings, peace, and restoration into your life!

I've lost my health due to a botched operation...which led me to losing my job...which led to my wife leaving me. So, not only am I out of work, my car broke down and it's going to take several thousand dollars to have it fixed...I don't have the money...in fact, I don't have any money. Unless the Lord blesses me I'll soon be homeless :(

Thanks for your prayers...and Blessed be the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

I have a prayer/meditation request for my daughter, she has been bullied at school over almost two years. The bully is high functioning, attention seeking, covert and manipulative causing many disruptions amongst friendships. She cleverly portrays a sweet image when necessary and saves her vitriol for her target :(

I would not only like to pray/meditate for my daughter to recover her confidence and strength but for the systems around the bully, who through their own denial do not take the time to see what is happening or set boundaries where they should, neither do they validate or support victims of bullying. I would like to pray for them to wake up and take their responsibility in relational education seriously.

I would also like to pray for the troubled girl who is projecting all her hatred, anger and fear onto my D - I pray she is offered the support she needs to be able to face the pain or hurt that is causing her to act out in such a destructive way, on the other side of that I wish her an open conscience and the ability to feel empathy for others.

I would like this prayer to go out to victims, bullies and those in positions of protection everywhere.

I pray that Jesus will reach down and touch these people who need healing in their bodies, who need restoration of love in their families, who have financial difficulties, who need salvation. I pray for all of the individual posts that I have just read that Jesus will answer your prayers!

I further pledge to faithfully read this thread each day and to add my prayers for each and everyone who requests prayer! God bless you everyone! Jesus is the answer to everything in this world of pain and great difficulties. Reach out to him and ask him to help you! He will hear your prayers!

In the past, I have felt that way also.

But it is a lie from the enemy.

But, even if it were true, having the FATHER and the SON being the only ones that love you? You are very blessed indeed!!!

Remember, that man is very imperfect in knowing true love. Therefore, we, as humans, are constantly being hurt by one another. It is because we are selfish, self centered and sinful.

The FATHER, on the other hand, is perfect in HIS love. But it is a different 'kind' of love.

Don't depend on man's love.....depend on GOD only. Keep your eyes upon HIM....and your hurts will disappear! I know, because it has happened to me! The LORD removed my burdens that I was carrying around. Such a heavy load!!! Now I am burden-free!!!

You can be too!!!

I really don't think your flag is necessary, or, fair for this kind of thread.

Although I do not consider myself a Christian in the strictest form of the word, I do have an affinity to Jesus, simply because his message is undeniably perfect and beautiful. If all people lived by the golden rule, our world would be an amazingly peaceful one.

And, I do believe in the power of prayer.

Please consider reading some of the requests written on these pages. It is heart-wrenching to know how many people are suffering in one way or another. This is undeniable. That said, I cannot turn away from my own ability to do my part in these prayer requests.

You do not have to belong to a church to pray. All you need is a heart to lend to others, in their time of need. It costs you nothing. In return, I assure you it bounces right back to you.

Love is all that is needed. There is no "bs" here. This thread is simply the coming together of strangers who feel empathy for one another's needs.

If all you have to offer is a moment of thoughtful silence...that's all you need do to join in. I am sure it would be welcome here.

First of all I would like to thank Lisa for starting this prayer thread. We all need prayer, and we all need to pray for ourselves and our brothers and sisters.

Someone said that "prayer is a longing of the soul." Those words are so beautiful.

A few years back, I lost my youngest son. I will never stop grieving...there will never be closure for me. Sometimes the loss is so heavy upon me, I cannot function.

Please pray for me to be able to function, as I have those who need me. Thank you so much.

Still reading all posts and still praying! I may not be responding to all posts because I came on late to this thread and I could never catch up. Instead, I am reading each post individually and adding my prayer to the many who are also praying for each and every one of you. Some posts may not have gotten a written response from a praying person but know your post was not overlooked! I know in my heart, there are many people praying for you on this thread! Your needed prayers are just as important to God as the other people who have posted. Just know that Jesus loves you! Lisa, myself, and others who are praying for you, really do care for you and want all of you to feel God's love!

1. I need a good paying job. Been out of a job for a few years.
