Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Ephesians 6:14-16
Proverbs 15:1

Prayer request, please...

My girlfriend and I arrived in FL yesterday for a week-long vacation. I fell ill on Friday and am feeling better. Unfortunately, she's fallen ill tonight with my cold. Fever, full-body aches, and horrible sore throat! I ask you to pray for her speedy recovery because I'm proposing to her on Wednesday (2-days from now) and I don't want her to be stuck in bed. I'll propose to her in bed, if I must, but I really want to propose to her in the hot air balloon that I have planned. Thank you!!!

Dear Heavenly Father,
We ask You lay Your healing hand on AC and future spouse and many blessings on their future, in Jesus Name Amenhf

She's still kind of sick but she said YES!!! Thank you all!

Re: The Prayer Request Thread - Everyone is Welcome - We Will Pray For You!
Okay, I have a prayer request that is a bit unusual. About 16 years ago, while I was still in college, I met someone who became a good friend to me. I was feeling extremely depressed the day I met this person. Out of nowhere, they started talking to me, asking me how I was doing, even calling me by name. They were talking as if we were old friends who'd known each other for a long time. The problem is, I have no memory of ever meeting this person before that day.

Later on, they indicated that they believed we met at a Bible study. That would have been impossible though, because I never attended anything of the sort before meeting this person that day.

My request is, if at all possible, I would like for God to help me understand why I don't remember meeting this person when they clearly knew me. I know it's unusual, and probably doesn't seem like a big deal. But for me, it means a lot. Thanks.

Re: The Prayer Request Thread - Everyone is Welcome - We Will Pray For You!
Please pray for an acquaintance of mine who is homeless. She called me last night after years of not seeing her and asked me if she could stay with me because she was living out of a car and homeless and didn't want to go the homeless shelter. She has family but they won't take her in or even return her calls any more.

Apparently some guy she was living with threw her out. She gets a hefty alimony check each month (she was awarded alimony for life) and I'm trying to figure out what happened to that. I think she must have been supporting the guy. She won't give me any details so don't know for sure. She's in bad shape mentally & physically. I really feel bad for her.

But please pray for me also to do the right thing. She's a terrible & obnoxious house guest and I had a tough time getting through the first night! Several years ago we had a falling out when I found out she was spreading rumors & lies about me. She was the last person I thought I'd ever hear from again. I know she is desperate to even call me & ask to stay with me. I must have been last on her list. But I couldn't turn her away. Just don't know if I can get through this. I'm normally a fairly generous person but this is going to test my limits.

My heart goes out to you. I pray that God gives you the wisdom to realize how important you are in the lives of your family, especially your children.

To know that they too are walking an uncertain path and depend on you to guide them.

I pray you have the strength to do His will, and that He lights your path, guides you, and helps you want to live, or at least to endure living and see His plan for you.

Would you please add my cousin Cindy and her husband Carl to the prayer list? My cousin Cindy has just gone into hospice. She has pancreatic cancer. She will not eat, and has refused a feeding tube.
Her husband Carl just got home from the hospital a couple of days ago. He has intestional cancer. He had part of his intestines removed, and is receiving chemo and radiation. His outlook is grave.
Cindy and Carl lost their oldest son a few days after birth, many years ago. Their only living child is adopted.
Cindy's sister Trudy died 4 years ago from ovarian cancer, and Cindy's Dad passed away a few months ago. This has been very hard on my Aunt.
Thank you, prayer warriors !hf

I want to thank all of you prayer warriors for the many prayers you sent up on behalf of my cousin Cindy. It was her time. She had been fighting pancreatic cancer for the past 1 1/2 years. She was tired, and needed to go home. :(

I'm sorry that you are suffering and hope the pain will be shortly replaced by happy memories. I wish that everyone near the end of their lives, would have someone like you by them, caring, asking for prayer, just knowing the support you've offered. I'm sure she valued you as much as you value her.

I think it's a beautiful thing to open up your home to this person when she is in need. That is a generous offer, and shows your compassion. hf At the same time, I hope she does not take that compassion for granted. It is ok to have boundaries with this, in my opinion. See if she is willing to talk about where she will go next, or what she will do to move on from here. You've given her a place to regather herself, but it is up to her to acknowledge that, and move on. It doesn't mean turning her away, but it does mean she takes responsibility for her choices and way forward. Best of luck. Find strength in God in the meantime and ask for guidance as to how to proceed if you feel overwhelmed, He won't let you down. Love to you! hf

I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. Can you prayer warriors put a few prayers in for my brother and I? We are leaving for Pennsylvania for my cousins funeral in about an hour. My brother is driving, and it is a 7 1/2 hour trip. This is the first time I have been back to PA in 19 years. :(

Thank you Dear Lord for all of your of your many Blessings!

John 12:13
The people were excited and were strawing the road with the palm branches. They were celebrating what they thought was their King who would take them out of the control of their current rulers. By weeks end, they will have changed their “Hosanna!”s into “Crucify Him!”s.

We will remember the day He rode into Jerusalem on a “palm road”
We will not forget the prophecies that were fulfilled that day.

“Palm Sunday.” Many this week celebrate and remember the last week of the Lord Jesus Christ before His sacrifice on the cross for the sins of mankind.

God desires our praise. You can shout, sing, dance, laugh, and cry with tears of joy. Sometimes your finest prayers have no words at all, but God, in his infinite goodness and love, will understand perfectly.

May God Grant you many Blessings on this Psalm Sunday.
In Jesus name.
Amen

Stay small, stay teachable, stay in the basics and pay attention. -Me
