That sounds like a halfway committment. Agrippa said, to Paul the apostle in Acts 26:28 that he was almost persuaded to become a Chrisitian.
Almost persuaded. He was almost persuaded, but it is never written that He accepted Christ. Almost doesn't get anyone to heaven. Almost keeps people out of heaven. I do hope Agrippa did some rethinking. I wonder where his soul is today.

He could have called down legions of angels to defend Him. He chose to go to the Cross. With less than a blink, He could have destroyed all of His opposition. But He had come down in human form to die on that Cross.
He bothered because He loved you. He loved us.
He wants to dwell with us forever. That is why He "bothered" ...it was what He came for.

TO balance the scales of justice, One perfect human Son of God had to give His blameless life, as a sacrifice, to attone for Adam's inperfection.

A point to ponder. Adam CHOSE to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, Eve was DECIEVED and not held to as high a degree of accountability and *SIN* was passed down to humankind through the 2 imperfect beings.

WHAT IF ADAM had trusted God and NOT eat the fruit, yet trusted God to keep His promise and let the Woman die in that *day*?

Surely GOd would have made Adam another Mate and THEN all the offspring would have been PERFECT and DEATH would have NOT entered into Humankind's existance.

No ..you're not even halfway screwed. Jesus is calling you softly and tenderly. He loves you. You said, "if that's true, then I love Him back." That's what He wants. Love Him back! That's all He asks .....believe on Him, believe He is Who He says He is. Let Him be your Lord and your Saviour. You're not screwed... you sound like you are 12" away from eternal salvation... ( 12" between the heart and the brain.) You're believing in your head, but not in your heart... you're almost persuaded. We can hope that Agrippa also was completely persuaded at some point after his statement to Paul that he was "almost" there.
