Drop North Of Papau New Guinea - Pacific Ocean Near Philippine Sea [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] nearest event this is however not enough to generate a wave of that magnitude. There is a low pressure trough near the ITCZ north of Australia which could be producing High Seas due to strong winds. this would be the most probable, High seas can generate short lived rogue waves. formerly Magmatard 26 |

Drop North Of Papau New Guinea - Pacific Ocean Near Philippine Sea interesting how the ocean can just suddenly sink 13 feet...and then recover just as fast. Or...maybe a sudden rise in the sea floor of that height...and then falling back down. Quoting: Idgits not the sea floor that would generate a tsunami, the sudden rise and fall of the ocean occurs with rogue wave there is plenty of truthful info on them out there. formerly Magmatard 26 |

Drop North Of Papau New Guinea - Pacific Ocean Near Philippine Sea I do remember Alexander Higgins documenting the shifting sea floor during the BP spill. Basically a methane pocket that burst out, causing the sea floor to swell then once it busted out the sea floor fell back to its original point. We discussed it here on GLP at length. The weights attched to this buoy could have risen with a swelling sea floor, showing a difference of 13 feet in depth. And then...the weights returned after the brief swell and return. A rogue wave may also be the culprit as pointed out. However...seems that the buoy is remaining in event mode for some time after just one disruption. And...to have happened the day before off Chile is a bit curious? |

We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken.
