Re: The two witnesses are gentiles
The god of this world is dark.
Jesus brought the light unto the world
Why did he have to do this?
Because there was still yet good found in this world
that was overidden with the false testimony and
laws, and it's creeds.
You can take a black cirle and mix with it all the colors
inbetween and it will still remain black, but if you take white and put it into black it will turn grey, no other color can do this but white. If the white gets brighter than the black slowly turns to white itself. The black is Ignorence.
 Quoting: ~~Moriel~~

Without darkness - no colours possible.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3635211

That is the final realization in all is that without the darkness, without the black, that it does not come full circle. All colours bleed into one.

Re: The two witnesses are gentiles
Thank you, Jesse. Another thing that has always resonated with me is when it says that "he causes them to" and we are born of free will. which makes no sense to say that someone is made to do something. That goes against the very essence of why we are here in the first place. To be "made" to do something would go against the very foundation of free will, even Jesus himself could have backed out of what he was brought to do, but he cried and said if it be your will. He wasn't made to do it, he knew that it had to be done.
 Quoting: ~~Moriel~~

You can cause someone to do something without "making" them do it. You are good at deception for sure. You just take a few words like "he causes them" and expect someon to understand what you are talking about. Very "angel of light-like".

I vote Moses and Elijah most likely the ones.
 Quoting: meat and taters

Moses and Elijah had a almost a perfect record of accomplishing the same task set forth of the god of the earth. If you get a chance just look at the similarites of thier works. it's astounding in accuracy.
The real question is what god were they working for to accomplish this.
The ten commandments were a leadway to later create democracy. A one ruling government to overthrow all others.
That is why Jesus said i do not come to promote peace but to bring nation against nation, brother against brother. because he was of this, although he lived the law, he was against the law and proved it many times.
 Quoting: ~~Moriel~~

Yet more psycho babble. Moses and Eliyah had ZERO similar tasks. Moses led the slaves out of Israel and shepherded them for 40 years. Eliyah brought Israel back to YAH from baal.
There works were in no way similar. Astounding in accuracy? Huh? more psycho babble.
There is no question as to what God they were working for.
Moses worked for YAH,out did the egyptian magicians. Elijah woked for YAH and out did the prophets of Baal.

I've never seen someone just make stuff up like you do.
You are absurd.Preposterous.

9-2-4 Elijah And Moses
When he was told to go and stand upon mount Horeb [i.e. Sinai] before the Lord, this was evidently seeking to invite him to see himself as Moses (1 Kings 19:11 = Ex. 24:12; 34:12). Consider the following parallels:

Elijah as a Type of Moses

Confronted Ahab (1 Kings 17:1)
Confronted Pharaoh (Exod. 5:1)

Fled into the wilderness fearing for his life (1 Kings 19:3)
Fled into the wilderness fearing for his life (Exod. 2:15)

Miraculously fed “...bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening...” (1 Kings 17:6)
Miraculously fed “...meat to eat in the evening, and bread to the full in the morning...” (Exod. 16:8, 12)

Spoke authoritatively for the Lord in his own name (1 Kings 17:1)
Spoke authoritatively for the Lord in his own name (Deut. 5:1)

Gathered all Israel to Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:19)
Gathered all Israel to Mount Sinai (Exod. 19:17)

Combated the prophets of Ba’al (1 Kings 18:20-40)
Combated the magicians of Pharaoh (Exod. 7:8-13, 20-22; 8:1-7)

Successful in his intercession for Israel to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel (1 Kings 18:36-39)
Successful in his intercession for Israel to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel (Exod. 32:11-14)

Elijah took twelve stones at Carmel “...according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob...” (1 Kings 18:30-32)
Moses had twelve pillars set up at Sinai “...corresponding to the twelve tribes of Israel...” (Exod. 24:4)

The Lord accepted Elijah’s offering by sending fire from heaven and consuming it completely. The people threw themselves down on their faces. (1 Kings 18:36-39)
The Lord accepted Moses and Aaron’s offering by sending fire from heaven and consuming it completely. The people threw themselves down on their faces. (Lev. 9:22-24)

By Elijah’s authority 3 000 idolatrous prophets were slain (1 Kings 18:40)
By Moses’ authority 3 000 idolaters were slain (Exod. 32:25-29)

After killing the prophets of Ba’al Elijah climbed Carmel to pray. (1 Kings 18:42)
After killing the idolaters Moses climbed Sinai to pray (Exod. 32:30)

Went without food for forty days and forty nights (1 Kings 19:8)
Went without food for forty days and forty nights (Exod. 34:38; Deut. 9:9)

Elijah (re)commissioned at Horeb (=Sinai) (1 Kings 19)
Moses commissioned at Sinai (Exod. 3)

Elijah was in “the cave” on Horeb (=Sinai) when the Lord “passed by” (1 Kings 19: 9-11)
Moses was hidden “in the cleft of the rock” when the Lord passed by Sinai. (Exod. 33:21-23)

Elijah saw storm, wind, an earthquake and fire upon Horeb (=Sinai). (1 Kings 19:11-12)
Moses saw storm, wind, an earthquake and fire upon Sinai. (Exod. 19:16-20; 20:18; Deut. 4:11; 5:22-27).

Prayed that he might die. (1 Kings 19:1-4)
Prayed that he might die. (Num. 11:10-15).

The Lord brought down fire from heaven upon his enemies. (2 Kings 1:9-12)
The Lord brought down fire from heaven upon those who rebelled against him. (Num. 16; cf. Lev. 10:1-3)

Elijah parted the waters of the Jordan by striking the waters with his cloak and passed over on dry ground. (2 Kings 2:8)
Moses parted the waters of the Red Sea by stretching out his staff and passed over on dry ground. (Exod. 14:16, 21-22)

His successor was one who had served him and came to resemble him in many ways, parting the waters of the Jordan as he had. ( 2 Kings 2)
His successor was one who had served him and came to resemble him in many ways, parting the waters of the Jordan as he had the Red Sea. (Josh. 3)

Was taken away in the Transjordan. (2 Kings 2:9-11)

He was clearly against the law of the sabboth, because he broke it.
 Quoting: ~~Moriel~~

He and his disciples were walking thru a field and stripped some wheat off the stalks and ate it as they walked. Technically, that is work. But so is picking up a cheese burger and sticking it in your mouth. He healed a man on the sabbath, but he didn't actually "work" to do it. He said "pick up your bed and go home". Technically, talking is working. But only his enemies would interpret it like that. You'll notice that before he healed him, he forgave his sins, so he must have a right to speak and eat on the sabbath, everybody else- even his accusers did.

Butch if you really want to know and it seems that you do being that you've asked so many questions.
Everything happens simotaniously in mind, body, and spirit.
for everthing that happens apon earth, it happens in the spirit form, and it it happens in the heavens. You think that the 3 happen at different time frames because we have only been taught our time frame which is now. But what most don't know is that everything that happens in our time frame is happening in the heaven's also. If you could don't imagine that we are here, that space is what was, and heaven is ancient, imagine that all 3 are happening at the same time, and always have been HERE! and NOW. You can't see it taste it, touch it, but heaven is but a realm that is as close as reaching your hand out and waving it around, the only thing that keeps us is because somewhere along the line it went wrong, i think that something was taken away that one part of the whole was wrongly taken. And that is the reasond for all of this is that they are trying to find there way back to the light.

A foot note for you

This is about Zerubbable. The mention of Zerubbable in Zechariah is a prophetic one,if you study carefully, you will discover that he only repaired the temple of Solomon and and he did not rebuild it from the foundation up. The zurubbable of Zechariah is alive today.Has he met the two Witnesses yet? Only God knows the answer to that.
 Quoting: Jesse 9006464

So are you saying that Zerubbabel is not one of the two witnesses? Very nice read thank you.
"..that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

“See, all your angry enemies lie there, confused and ashamed. Anyone who opposes you will die” Isaiah 41:11
“I am the one who exposes the false prophets as liars by causing events to happen that are contrary to their predictions” Isaiah 44:25
“I have sworn by my own name, and I will never go back on my word: Every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will confess allegiance to my name.” Isaiah 45:23
“He who gives me justice is near. Who will dare to oppose me now? Where are my enemies? Let them appear!” Isaiah 50:8
“I, even I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither lie grass and disappear? Yet you have forgotten the LORD, your Creator, the one who put the stars in the sky and established the earth. Will you remain in constant dread of human oppression? Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies from morning till night?” Isaiah 51:12-13

LIfe is all about points, we travel down a certain road and then we turn, or we go and keep going until we can't go any longer, and some meet a point and decide to go a different way, it's all lines. But when you have gone in every direction and have crossed every path it leads you back to the point in which you started which is a perfect circle. You realize that you know no more than what you started with, and it's a "0" the only thing that can bring you to that is LOVE.

God doesnt care about any wordly state

..all of that kind of thinking is detestable british-israelism

- but you can imagine whý 'the synagogue ' (Rev.2:9) created the present m-east situation, no?

as substitude for the spiritual meaning / truth

..so that all Truths will be interpreted as Fleshy events

and all spiritual will be distracted and killed.

Re: The two witnesses are gentiles
It is appointed once for man to die and then the judgement.

Two men in the bible never died but were taken bodily to heaven.

They will return and be killed but raised again.

I think the two men were Enoch and Elijah, not sure.

But anyway, for this passage to be true it must be true of all men, and these two didn't die, but will one day have to die. Their appointed time is yet to come though.

Scripture done back up part of your statement

Malachi chapter4,verse5.................

The Great Day of God

4 “For behold, the day is coming,
Burning like an oven,
And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble.
And the day which is coming shall burn them up,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“That will leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But to you who fear My name
The Sun of Righteousness shall arise
With healing in His wings;
And you shall go out
And grow fat like stall-fed calves.
3 You shall trample the wicked,
For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet
On the day that I do this,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
4 “Remember the Law of Moses, My servant,
Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel,
With the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
6 And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

The great day of the lord is at the end of the tribulation period.
