Anonymous Coward User ID: 6638540 United States 02/01/2012 11:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My question is how is this monitoring his activity? Is it just recording his coordinates and if so how is that monitoring his activity? To monitor someone's activity I would think it would need to do a lot more than record his coordinates throughout the day. And what does a kids activity have to do with receiving a grant? I'm with Lucus on this, I think your son has been tagged for something. |

Kids must wear them, and that has some parents and privacy advocates upset. They say the school is doing this without their knowledge or consent. An attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union says “When you get into monitoring people’s biological vital signs, that’s a pretty intrusive measurement….There are key privacy interests at play….A program like this should only be voluntary.” Apparently these types of programs are being rolled out nationwide. Time to bring more light to this and who's funding it. |

ambiguity unlimited User ID: 9982577 United States 02/01/2012 11:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i tried to resist posting, but couldnt... how about just calling the school and asking (calmly, politely, non confrontationally) what the object in question is, does, and why they strapped it to your offspring? then, maybe examine the booger for an id tag (which it will have) and do a web search for it, using the manufacturer, and model number... once you actually know what it is and does, then decide on a course of action... sounds like a pedometer or tachimeter, as fastening it to a shoe sets it up for a fairly harsh environment, and hardly insures it being brought to school daily (as opposed to say hooking it to his bookbag, which would be a fairly constant companion)... "check it out before you freak out" is usually a sensible policy |

I'm not going to get onto what but let's just say most of us are not going to make it. I have long suspected there would be a lottery. The underground bunkers that have been built are designed to hold several hundred thousand people. They need a gene pool to make sure we can go on and have enough genetic material to do so. Is your child above average? Does he have a unique blood type? There was a lottery in Deep Impact. Its really the only way to be fair. Assuming it isn't fixed like our elections are, that is. |
