My little sister who normally gets a 9ooo tax return only got 7500... no change from last year, she used Turbo tax and had the same question, what was wrong, sounds like there may be a glitch in the programming for turbo tax..

Quoting: HANGFIRE If you find all of your deductions, it won't matter what service or anything you can use. you don't have to use a service at all. You can fill out the forms yourself and mail them to the correct agencies. The services just help automate the process. It is possible that some services help you find your deductions better, but the overall amount that you are responsible for (and thusly, the amount of refund you're eligible for) doesn't change.

It could have changed for a number of reasons. You made less so you paid less income tax through your payroll withholdings. Check for typos in your numbers. You aren't guarantted a certain number in refunds every year. If you're really concerned get a pro to check it out.

Why are you giving the Federal Government a $9000 interest free loan? You should be taking home more from your paycheck. You need to adjust your W-2 so you expect nothing after taxes so the government doesn't get a free ride. If you want $9000 bucks simply put in the excess that you take home into a savings account.

Poor people with children working poor can get earned income credit for the smarties running the heads so they can buy used cars an such so you dont have to pay welfare for them because billion dollar companys like walmart that dont pay them a decent wage also tax refunds are lower this year my sister who gets 4000 every year only gets 400 this year a major decrease..
