redrum redrum
the shining was a good movie but the book is better, king didn't like the movie if i remember well so idk maybe kubrick made something wrong to piss him...
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8958455 Yeah, Kubrick took King's story and made wholesale changes to it, I think King's story was how alcohol abuse can make a man evil... Kubrick's interpretation is so much more than that and littered with bizarre references...

That one above is especially strange. And then the room Danny goes to enter is room '237', in the book it's room '231'... some people claim Kubrick changed it to '237' as the approx distance of the moon from earth is 237,000 miles.
I'm not trying to suggest that the Apollo missions were faked, just that it would seem Kubrick had a certain level of involvement that then haunted him to his death bed... his final film being of course 'Eyes Wide Shut', US release 16th July 1999.
Quote from 'Eyes Wide Shut'...
"Did you never consider the possibility that the whole thing might have been nothing more than a charade?"Why did NASA gift Kubrick a special hi-tech camera lens in 1975 to help complete the movie Barry Lyndon?
I am starting to believe that we really DID go to the moon, and the famous black and white crappy footage 'One small step' and all that is genuine... but the photographs and subsequent higher quality film may have been faked in a studio. The 'Bear Grylls Trick' I like to think of it. You are really there, but it needs embellishing...
Reasons? Maybe they just wanted to show off, make a big deal of it (I mean it was) or maybe they are hiding something else, the true nature of our Moon... or even, what may be up there?
Quote from Dr. Brian O'Leary - Astronaut...
"If some of the film was spoiled, it's remotely possible they [NASA] may have shot some scenes in a studio environment to avoid embarrassment."I'm rambling I know, but this some fascinating stuff... a puzzle.
