If a tree falls in the forest, and EVERYONE is around to hear it, does it actually make a sound?

So.....if a person is in a room alone and farts, it makes no sound? But if someone is in the room with the person to hear and observe, it makes a sound?

Yes..but only by other animals that have the ability to hear sound waves...but interestingly they probably will never let you know they heard it! LOL!

Or to put it another way:
If there is no sound nor anyone one around to not hear it and no forest, is there then a tree to not fall down?

If the tree doesn't fall in the vacuum, then it stands to reason it produces some manifestations of falling down (example: swooshing of the leaves and branches...).

Here's another analogy that's even better: Do candy bars in the store make you fat? No of course not! If you're not eating the candy bars, they're not making anyone fat!

No it does not. Quantum physics clearly shows that atoms cease to exist unless they are percieved by a conscious being. Nuff said. So if someone isn't looking directly at the tree then even that tree doesn't exist. Some people might not be able to wrap their brains around it but the science is clear.
