Was directed to this site from Steve Beckow. My initial reaction is WTF is going on here?

A bit of roleplaying is my best guess. But I really enjoy "John Lear"'s account of the Neptune. Down to every detail! Great trolling job. I'm not being sarcastic, either. Literally, this is a good job.

But it's also manipulative. Some people really believe this is happening, or was going to happen. It's really wrong to screw with people's emotions.

Anyway, John Lear has some pretty "out there" theories, but I think he'd draw the line at blogging from inside a spaceship. I hope somebody reaches Lear about this and clears this mess up.

Unless this is real, in which case OP: if you're going to claim you're taking photos, then do what a previous poster suggested and stick them on Photobucket, or something.

Or call Steve Beckow from a mental telephone.

I don't know the OP aside from the posts you see here. I don't agree with his methods, but he did prove his point. I simply expose the truth, if someone else looks stupid for having fallen for utter nonsense that's not my problem nor my concern. Hopefully that person would learn to be more skpetical of incredible unsupported claims in the future, but it seems that the more common response is to blame the person who exposed the truth and fantasize about their downfall. I really don't care about how the terminally credulous respond though, I simply expose false claims so that rational people can see it exposed and not fall for it.

Here are a few more claims that you can poke holes in.

I've had dealings with what you would call UFOs on many occasions throughout my life. On five of these occasions there were witnesses present. The first encounter that I remember was when I was 13 years old. The most recent was last night.

If this makes me irrational in your opinion, then so be it. Still doesn't change anything.

I see anecdotal accounts, the only claim I see is that I would call whatever you saw a "UFO." You don't know that. The vast majority of UFO reports are explained by ordinary things, not ET, but I don't specifically exclude the possibility of ET (you obviously don't know me very well). There's a difference though between being open minded and swallowing whatever nonsense gets shoveled your way. OP (and again I don't agree with his methods) showed quite clearly that some people here will fall for anything.

To the contrary, I think this thread is evidence of a much more relevant and measurable phenomenon.

That being the fact there is a concerted effort to ridicule, downplay, and debunk the entire topic of UFO. And I'm not talking about just some obscure lights in the sky. Physical interaction and the whole nine yards.

It wouldn't even be an issue if people were not so credulous that they fell for any nonsense claim that came their way no matter how incredible and unsupported it is.

I don't go anywhere, I stay in my bed. I don't see how this is relevant to anything, in fact. I'm sure you'll now trot out some ridiculous claim or belief regarding dreaming and act like you're more enlightened because you believe in said ridculous claim or belief. To be perfectly frank, I don't care what you believe regarding dreaming. I don't even care if you manage to work aliens into your beliefs about dreaming somehow, dreams do not interest me. I come here to debunk nonsense claims about astronomy, not dreaming.

You come here to enlighten others using the measurements and observations you've made about the properties of an illusion. You're dreaming right now, so yes it is relative to your purpose here.

I guess you didn't listen to what I said. I don't care what your beliefs about dreams are. If you really believe reality is just a dream, then it doesn't matter whether someone is "making a concerted effort to ridicule UFOs" or not because UFO's don't actually exist, the posts ridiculing them don't actually exist, etc. In fact, if it still frustrates you, you should just will the posts you don't like out of existence - you're apparently lucid about this dream so you should be able to do that.

True. Astromut is a person that looks through lens most of the time he is taking a look at the sky. That reduces his field of view, by, a lot. So he probably won't see any.

I have seen many extremelly fast objects in the sky that did maneuvres that planes, asteroids nor space stations can, and if you ever see something going straight just ignore it. Not worth your attention, too little possibility of being an UFO.

I mean, what kind of alien would just sprint accross the sky without stopping to see the interesting things?

I don't espouse the belief in anything. Imagine that.

Actually, no. I hardly ever use eyepieces anymore, most of my time is spent doing astrophotography. I'm usually by the telescope too, not sitting in a nice climate controlled control room somewhere. The telescope is occupied by the camera, I'm left sitting by the telescope keeping the equipment happily humming along and staring up at the night sky. If I'm doing an astronomy show I'm constantly scanning the constellations to see what the scope has line of sight to and which of those constellations has the best deep space goodies to show, and if I'm just photographing on my own I'm relaxing in my chair just enjoying a naked eye view of the heavens while the telescope records everything it sees.

Then you shouldn't be frustrated that anyone is ridiculing the subject of UFOs, but you are.

Who said I was frustrated? Apparently the ones who are trying to debunk their own origins are the ones who are frustrated.

His claims are now on Steve's site. He will find out once and for all if his claims are true or not. If they are false, there will be bad karma and some unhappy galatics who will refuse to allow liars on real trips.

The claims are not true, because I spoke to John Lear, and he said it's BS. Hello. It's not a matter of "if".

Either Linda Dillon is channeling Loki the God of mischief, or there is something afoul.

Although I will agree with our Pleidian friend. Steve Beckow has nothing to do with this. He's a good natured guy just repeating what these "mediums" are telling him.
