This is going to become commonplace
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan

Is anybody knowledgeable enough to tell me why there was one at 12 km deep and another at 174 km deep? Why does that happen? I'm talking about the two near Vancouver.

Re: 5.7 EQ Vancouver Island, Canada region
It isn't unusual for us to have deep quakes in that particular area. There has been a lot of geothermal drilling, etc. in that area over the last few years. What does get my attention is the number of quakes in such a short time frame, the magnitude, and the change in depths during the same cluster.
I am on the other side of Vancouver Island and didn't feel a damn thing.

That is odd. We had a smaller quake here in Ontario I think a few summers ago. I felt it for sure. My desk was rocking at work. Yet people in the same building did not feel it. Namely the men. My female co worker and I felt it intensely.

I was looking into this and just saw that they sneaked that 4.7 in, I guess that's the aftershock

The main quake was a 5.7 with a depth of 178 km then fixed to 12 km.
