I'm a big fan of Paul, but I don't think this argument really holds water. If the vast majority of the wealthiest people have acquired that wealth through immoral or deceptive means - which is most certainly the case - then it is not immoral whatsoever to redistribute that wealth to the poor. The richest people in the country contribute the absolute LEAST to the health and prosperity of the nation, so I see no reason to make the bold statement that they have "earned" their vast wealth. If Ron Paul were to win, I think the most moral and honest thing would be to redistribute the wealth of the nation and then start over. I found Dr. Paul's answer on the question of how to ethically manage a rape victim most interesting. His statement that since we don't know whether there would/or would not be conception from this act...it is permissible to administer a dose of estrogen immediately to prevent conception is a good solution to the problem. I am always impressed with Dr. Paul's insights and well reasoned responses. |

But I believe Ron Paul's solution to this problem would be to tighten up the enforcement of the many laws we already have on the books, although there still are some loopholes to be closed. For example: Let's look at the way Mitt Romney's Bain Capital took apart companies, fired the workers, seized the assets, profited by $10 million dollars...but then stuck the US taxpayers with $50 million dollars in unfunded pension liabilities owed to the former company's now retired workers! But yet , Romney keeps millions of dollars in Swiss bank accounts and the Cayman Islands to shield his massive income from US taxes! And it is equally unethical that the Obamas are sticking the US taxpayers with tens of millions of dollars for their frequent lavish parties and vacations. That's why I believe strongly that Americans should be wanting to elect a man of principle and integrity to the presidency, like Dr. Ron Paul. Ron Paul is not running for the presidency for the money... he has already agreed to take a salary of $40,000 if elected. The Obamas are collecting $400,000 , ten times as much from us. Ron Paul truly has the best interests of America and Americans foremost in his mind and policies. All of the others are merely opportunistic puppets. And that is the nicest thing I can say about them! |
Torchbearer (OP) User ID: 7168874 United States 02/04/2012 09:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So after 5 fucking months inNevada the guy garners 18% of 2,000 fucking votes???? You call that a victory? Quoting: ac 1053923 I call it a victory that Ron Paul can win arguments with these TV pundits, if he is permitted the appropriate amount of time to fully explain the subject. With regard to your comment about "X" number of votes... THAT is reflecting the lack of intelligence of the American public! Time and time again I see that people are unable to make sensible decisions which are in their own best welfare! So all I can conclude then is that they deserve the corrupt government that they get, and all of the pain that accompanies that degree of apathy and stupidity. |

I see no difference in the work a welfare single Mom raising the next generation does than the guy who builds roads and bridges. In the new socialist America we all work for the government equally. |

And that is the nicest thing I can say about them! Yes thanks for the comments, and I agree. I would vote for a moral and principled man of either party before I would vote for an opportunistic vulture of my "party of choice" (if I actually had one, lol). And what is my criteria for a moral and principled man? That he says the name "Jesus" in his speeches? That he plays Toby Keith during his rallies? Perhaps instead it is the candidate whose actions and votes are consistent with his rhetoric. And Ron Paul is certainly the only Republican that fits that criteria. stinchx User ID: 25535710 Canada 11/09/2012 11:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | mahahaha, well now you have obama for 4 more years. obama said he wanted to raise tax on the middle class and upper class. so now there's more and more wealthy people moving to europe and south america(bush family in Paraguay). the same thing is happening in europe too(the rich are moving out of euro zone countries). cause of the euro and the other countries debts well have to be paid off with wealthy people's money. so were are all the wealthy going. there heading to non e.u countries and south america. i think amerika! well be in a full out civil war in 2015/2016 especially with the baby boomers pensions non-existent. there well be blood in the streets. america well be second world nation by 2016 for sure. if you're going to invest, invest in brazil or other south american countries. the rich are already there building Chile and Ecuador. i don't argree with mitt rommey but i do argee with just one thing he has. giving the people who want to start businesses a huge break and start up cash even if there is bit corruption just to get amerika out of the rut there in. what's really funny with all of the obama supports is that yea, sure it's great to give and do hand outs etc... but where's the money gonna come from in 8-10 years from now. prime example ...russia 1991. i do believe in a health care system no matter what it costs, but to tax the rich won't work. they'll just move. i think there's a youtube video somewhere about donald trump in a interview saying all his rich friends moved out of amerika in 2009. |
