Re: You CAN'T be a racist and a Christian at the same time
Many, maybe most, Christians are racist.

They hold the Jewish race above all her neighbors. They are willing, perhaps eager, to go to war to destroy another people because of their love for the jewish people.

It is funny that their ignorance does not allow them to understand that their meddling in the affairs of others is not helping establish any form of peace.

We, the US, hide behind the veil of love and peace, while we opening seek to control, weaken, even destroy Iran.

Educate yourself. Hatred disguised as love is still hatred. Bigotry disguised as Christianity.. is still bigotry.

BTW.. I am a Christian. I may fall out of step with some of today's Christians... but I am following the path that Christ left behind. May all men damn me, as long as Jesus claims me as his own.

But i thought that God wanted the races segregated. He split us up after the fall of babylon and even gave us different languages. He didnt even want us communicating with each other.

Seems to me that inter-racial marriages would be an insult to god and his plan. Is that racist?

Re: You CAN'T be a racist and a Christian at the same time
The Bible is racist.

Deuteronomy 14:2 "For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth."

Exodus 33:16 "So shall we be separated, I and all of Thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth."

Deuteronomy 7:3 "Neither shalt thou make marriages with them: thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son."

Joshua 23:12-13 "if ye do in any wise go back and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriage with them and go in unto them and they unto you: know for a certainty that they shall be snares and traps unto you and scourges in your sides and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish off from this good land which the Lord your God has given you."

Ezra 9:2 "For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the HOLY SEED have MIXED themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this TRESPASS."

Nehemiah 9:2 "And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all STRANGERS and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers."

Note: "Strangers" above in Nehemiah 9:2 is from the Hebrew word "nekar", meaning "a foreigner" or an "alien".

Nehemiah 13:3 "Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the MIXED multitude."

Hosea 5:7 "They have dealt treacherously against YAHWEH: for they have begotten STRANGE children:"

Note: The word "strange" from Hosea 5:7 is from the Hebrew word "zuwr", meaning "a foreigner".

Deuteronomy 23:2: "A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord, even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord."

Note: The word "bastard" above in Deuteronomy 23:2 is from the Hebrew word "mamzer", which is defined as "a mongrel" or person of mixed-race.

Therefore, the true meaning of this passage is that mongrels or offspring of mixed-race cannot become one of Yahweh's people until after the 10th generation. After the 10th generation, the person would have only 1/1024 (0.1% or 0.001) non-Israelite (non-white) blood in their veins. This shows how seriously Yahweh views racial purity.

-Check original Hebrew words and translation in Strong's Concordance and Hebrew and Greek Lexicon.

The laws of the Old Testament commanding racial segregation were not nullified by the teachings of Yahshua the Messiah, but are still binding on the modern-day descendants of the Israelites:

Matthew 5:17-19 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

This is confirmed by the fact that Yahshua specifically taught that His message was only for the "lost sheep of the House of Israel" -- ie, the physical/biological descendants of the Israelites:

Matthew 10:5-6: "These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Matthew 15:22-24: "And, behold, a woman of Canaan [ie, a Canaanite and non-Israelite] came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

The following verse APPLIES TO CURRENT TIMES STILL.

Ezra 9:2 "For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the HOLY SEED have MIXED themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this TRESPASS."

Today our rulers in the West are chief in this trespass.

You CAN'T be a racist and a Christian at the same time. You have to choose one of the two options.

Jesus Christ was born from a Jewish mother.

Jesus Christ had 12 Jewish apostles.

Jesus Christ told the Parable of the Good Samaritan for a reason:

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

Samaritans were hated by Jesus' target audience, the jewish people, to such a degree that the Lawyer's phrase "The one who had mercy on him" may indicate a reluctance to name the Samaritan. The Samaritans in turn hated the jewish people. Tensions were particularly high in the early decades of the first century because Samaritans had desecrated the Jewish Temple at Passover with human bones.

As the story reached those who were unaware of the oppression of the Samaritans, this aspect of the parable became less and less discernible: fewer and fewer people ever heard of them in any context other than as a description. Thus cast appropriately, the parable regains its message to modern listeners: namely, that an individual of a social group they disapprove of can exhibit moral behavior that is superior to individuals of the groups they approve.

Jesus was against the hatred and racial prejudice between Jewish people and Samaritans.

In the first years of Christianity, the two main "racial" groups of Christians were the Jewish Christians, and the Greek Christians.

But the Bible says, on Galatians 3:28:

"There is neither jewish nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

The reason for this to be in the Bible is: Christians should not be divided on racial groups. God loves everyone equally, and racial divisions should not exist. That's why the Bible warned that divisions between "Jewish and Greek" should not exist in the Early Christianity.

dear one, your title is true, but there were NO jewish people back then, so he was not a jewish nor born of a jewish. There were judeans, hebrews, semites, but there were NO jewish people until the Khazar Zionists who had their origin in MONGOLIA, named themselves jewish people and then put that word in your bible, in the 1770's, They were never from that area. And at best they are a "mixed" race from intermarriage in the lands they conquered.

Your assumption is incorrect. The Samaritans and the jewish people were both Hebrews. The Samaritans consisted of the Northern Tribes of Israel. Although some Samaritans were a mixed race of Hebrews and Gentiles. Yet the problems between them was not race based, but Religiously and Politically Based.
The custom of allowing mixed marriages was one of the many religious interpretations and other pagan practices that separated them. Jewish racism was actually against Gentiles and in some places remains to this day.
As to the Comment, "There is neither jewish nor Greek...",this referred to the jewish people of the Asia Minor often called Hellenistic jewish or Greek jewish people. These had left Israel to live in Greek and Roman controlled lands. Yet these Greek jewish people were ethnic Hebrews. It was in their synagogues that Paul often preached the Gospel.
So in neither case is this truly racism, as they were all Hebrews.
Actually it was Paul that said we should have no Divisions between Christians and that would include racism.
God created all men and we should not be Racist.
Yet just as one can be a Christian and still Sin, so can one be a Christian and still be a Racist. No matter how wrong it may be.

Re: You CAN'T be a racist and a Christian at the same time
I think jewish people and gentiles are two different species of humanoids. So, it isn't an issue of race, it's a issue of relations with a different intelligent species. Mixing genes with other species is dangerous. Not necessarily good or bad, but it's like cloning - you have to be careful about it.

This is why jewish people and gentiles alike have their detractors against 'race-mixing'. They are true to their natures. What if people all of a sudden started to try to breed with monkeys? Hey, they look similar to humans.

So, I think its a genetic war that is going on and the two species are trying to keep their species distinct. Naturally, some characteristics of each species are attractive to the opposite, so you will have crossbreeding going on.

Between the two, desire for certain characteristics arise from one of the species and so one of the species becomes dominant. Well, this ends up as one side always complaining that the other is 'racist' as their qualities aren't desirable. Well, both species are intelligent, so this interrelation between species results in a genetic war can go on forever - with the less-dominant species always trying to weaken and interbreed with the dominant species; and the dominant species trying to keep their species pure and something to be desired.
