In last 3 days we had a very strong activity, one M 8.0 and 3 of M 7.0 ..

That's some of the start a dangerous time of strong seismic activity ..

Also think we will not have break in rest of dangerous time to end month March or first days of April ..

Next 60 hrs is also very dangerous although we had a very large release of energy, think we will have one more M 7.0 + minimum, also in next 7 days ..

At that time, it will be about 27,000 kilometers (17,000 miles) above the surface of the Earth, give or take a few clicks. Officials ESA-NASA etc say there is no chance that asteroid can hit Earth ..

2012 DA14 flyby will be over west Australia, Indonesia, Ural, west Asia, west Russia ..
Closes approach will be around and over Sumatra, that area is very sensitive for stronger EQ activity in this days ..

Massive population growth

Holzer and USGS colleague James Savage analyzed historic records of earthquake deaths dating back to A.D. 856, then compared those events to world population estimates. We already had a M 8.0 + and probably we will have one more very strong EQ but magnitude is not so important like depth of EQ also where will hit, sometimes EQ of M 6.0+ can produce many destruction also casualties and think dangerous time coming for that ..

So this time ahead you must be aware of that, month March will be probably most seizmic active month in this year for stronger or catastrophic EQ's, but I will say that April is also dangerous ..

We have many information that next 'Big One' at San Andreas fault coming in next years or even soon ..

This information coming from scientist and geo-seismic experts also from some ..

You all know how is difficult to predict 'Big One' for this area because fault line did not rupture more of 100 years for San Francisco area, 155 for Los Angeles to Parkfield area and 330 years for Mexicali to L.A area ..

This section of the fault from L.A. to San San Francisco has an earthquake-recurrence interval of roughly 140–160 years ..

At the time the population of Los Angeles was about 4,000, today Southern California is home to 23 million people and the fastest growing areas are near the San Andreas and other major faults also ..

If you look through historical available information this suggests that the big rapture sequence from south to north of San Andreas fault line because of movement Pacific Plate and the North American Plate in right-lateral strike-slip (horizontal motion) also time from last big EQ's on San Andreas fault line ..

So 'Big One' probably will be at area of around Mexicali to L.A. but not necessarily, also think is important to put maximum information about this "events" ..

Like I say is very hard to predict next exact time for 'Big One' here but think is possible developments for this events will be in many sings before EQ and then will not be a lost time, I spend years to understood what can helpful or useful..

I will put one of most important things how i see possible situation development and about foreshocks that can lead to 'Big One' ..

Think this can help a lot so people in this areas to have time to prepare mentally and physically in hours advance before 'Big One', think this time that period probably will be from 1 to 48 hrs or several days ..

So think very probably we will not have here 'Big One' suddenly, foreshocks will happen before and lead to big rupture and think most important EQ is area of central California around Parkfield area, EQ's in this area think over M 5.5+ and especially M 6.0+ can lead to 'Big One' in some 1-24 hrsd, EQ of M 6.0+ on San Andreas Fault Line! also can lead to 'Big One' in hrs advance ..

We had a similar situations but think now will happen like is described and will be nice if you put your opinion or similar, I will post more about this dangerous possible foreshocks and EQ's which can lead to next 'Big One' ..

The seismologist said if the San Andreas fault erupts, it is unlikely to trigger devastating tsunami.

Kate Hutton, a staff seismologist at Caltech Seismological Laboratory, told Xinhua in an interview Thursday that based on the research by seismologists, a big earthquake will happen in California in the next 30 years. But it is hard to tell when it will happen. It could happen in a year or in 30 years.

Hutton said scientists have not been able to predict earthquakes. No one has predicted the Japan earthquake, and no one can predict when and where the next big earthquake will happen.

According to Hutton, there is no way to predict the earthquake for a short time like weather forecast, but based on long years of research, scientists can make long time predictions.

The reason, she explained, is that devastating tsunami in Japan was triggered by a big earthquake under the sea, but "The Big One" as people were talking about in California is an inland earthquake, which is far away from the ocean and would have little chance to trigger devastating tsunami.

According to Hutton, "The Big One" could be as strong as eight- magnitude, but she did not believe it would be as big as nine-magnitude.

According to California State Geologist John Parrish, California, unlike Japan, does not have a subduction zone -- a fault where one plate slides under another in an earthquake -- off its coast. The thrusting motion under the sea was what generated the 40-foot tsunami seen in Japan.

Can this EQ be more devastating and stronger of ~ M 7.7, think yes it is possible if you look carefully all possible information data from history of EQ's on San Andreas fault line ..

The Fort Tejon earthquake of M 7.9 in 1857 was one of the greatest earthquakes ever recorded in the U.S., and left an amazing surface rupture scar over about 360 km (225 miles) kilometers in length along the San Andreas fault, with an average slip of 4.5 meters (15 feet) and a maximum displacement of about 9 meters (30 feet) ..

Some information what indicate of foreshocks for this one also between one and nine hours before the main event around M 7.9, so again will say think this is best way to predict next "Big One" and warn people in advance ..

But it wasn't a wall-to-wall quake: It stopped around the Cajon Pass, near the present-day 15 Freeway, probably because the fault south of that area had shaken just a few decades earlier, in 1812, Jones said. Wrightwood's 1812 Earthquake

On December 8, 1812, a powerful earthquake registering +7.0 occurred on the Mojave segment of the San Andreas fault.
Radiocarbon dating of the peat-layers revealed the ages of the sediments and therefore the approximate ages of the earthquakes that caused the fault ruptures. The geologist's data showed at least 5 very strong (M+7?) earthquakes had during the past 500 years with the approximate ages of: 1857, 1812, 1690, 1610, and 1470.The key to sequence are the 1857 and 1812 earthquakes, the last major earthquakes along the southern San Andreas fault during historic time!

The data suggests average time between very strong events is 97 years, with the greatest being 140 years and the shortest in just 45 years. Disturbingly, it has been 140 years since this segment last ruptured!

The December 21, 1812 Santa Barbara Earthquake and Tsunami around M 7.3 ..

Another damaging earthquake occurred in southern California in the month of December, 1812, potentially triggered by the Wrightwood quake two weeks earlier that month. The epicenter of this one, too, is of uncertain location. Because of the widespread damage it caused, it was probably as large as magnitude 7. It is probable that the epicenter was located offshore, possibly in the Santa Barbara channel, but an inland epicenter, somewhere in present-day Santa Barbara County, or even Ventura County, cannot be ruled out.

I expect somewhere worldwide at sensitive area very strong EQ of M 8.0 + from 16 to 23 June, for next 35 days we have several very dangerous days so we probably will have very strong seizmic activity and probably EQ of M 7.5 + ..

I could post more precisely and know "that days" but think this way is better because many many reasons, also could also post 2-3 days in advance but one of the reasons is that many use my predictions in 2012 and overwrite itself mostly because some small money from donate or you-tube, there was more of 20 accurate prediction of M 7.0 + in 3-4 days advance and only 1-2 miss ..

Don't get me wrong but I'm very tired of that because I lose all year for monitoring only EQ's prediction and neglected all my personal obligations so you know how I feel, let see what "they" really know and when someone predict accurate EQ of M 7.0 in 3-4 days advance or similar, in last 3 months see only failures from them and already know what is to follow,

Second reason is that I don't have free time anymore to monitoring non-stop all possible signs for strong EQ's and calculate them, third reason EQ's can't be precisely predicted in 3 days for one year in advance can only if I or you "see" signs in 3 days earlier but only when I monitoring non-stop all possible what I have etc ..

Powerful Oklahoma quake was caused by oil-drilling procedure, scientists say

WASHINGTON -- An unusual and widely felt 5.6-magnitude quake in Oklahoma in 2011 was probably caused when oil drilling waste was pushed deep underground, a team of university and federal scientists concluded.

That would make it the most powerful quake to be blamed on deep injections of wastewater, according to a study published Tuesday by the journal Geology. The waste was from traditional drilling, not from the hydraulic fracturing technique, or fracking.

Three outside scientists contacted by The Associated Press said the researchers made a strong case for a likely man-made cause.

"I think they made the case that it is possible; it's probably even more than possible," said Steve Horton, director of the Center for Earthquake Research and Information at the University of Memphis. "They have a very reasonable conclusion."
