Agree, this is somehow strange. but maybe the scientists "in the known" already know this jump from yellow dwarf to red giant is possible, because they can see the increase in the number of red giants outside our solar system.

Well the sun was yellow when I were a boy now its white so next up is red.

Sounds to me that this event has happened in the past a few times and would have been the cause for the extinction of past peoples and animals en mass.

Also this would explain the "Red Planet: or "Hercobulus" legands of old. So maybe Nibiru was NOT a "red planet" but our SUN turning red that was seen as the bringer of death?

The sun starts to evolve into a red giant when the ribbon/explosion from the center hits it.

The red giant is going to be the least of our worries, AS THE MILLION DEGREE RIBBON IS GOING TO HIT THE EARTH AS WELL.

And we experiencing a partial red giant process each 26000 years?
If this happens every 26.000 years and the earth is engulfed by the sun we wouldn t be here right now.
