No, it's called equidistant skip interval.

Let's say you want to search for "New York". You would first have to translate or phonetically spell it with Hebrew characters. Then, the program finds the first character, and counts how many letters until the second character appears. Let's say every 123 characters from the first letter finally spells "New York".

The characters are arranged in a matrix so that the searched term appears vertical. The horizontal text is the text of the Torah. Any other words that appear vertically in this matrix have the same equidistant skip interval.

As soon as you start finding words that run diagonally, you've already ruined the point.

Hebrew does not have vowels in the same way other languages do. They use "'" in place of vowels. It makes the whole bible code very suspect to me. Long text + hebrew = what ever the authors want it to say.

you can use the program to find what ever you want, in just about any book.

You can also find matrices using geometry and mathematical formulas. Stacking the Torah in levels creates 3D matrices depending on what offsets or datums you use.
