<<Advancing Bird Flu-H5N1...Now following MERS and Ebola approaching PANDEMICS>>>
I previously engaged in several threads regarding the potentially devestating potential of H5N1.

Some readers who havent even attempted to gain any sort of education have downvoted my thread to the point that no-one got the chance to read and learn, on a topic that I have been closely monitoring for several years, ever since the World Health Organization announced their concerns for it to go pandemic.

Now the following link is showing its steady but relentless advance and in all probability its eventual final evolutionary mutation to become an airborne dissease that will readily spread throughout humanity with devistating effects.

Health Authorities report that this is a killer virus with a mortality rate of above 60%.

That implies that at least 60 out of 100 people who contract this flu and it is expected to be HIGHLY contagous, will die from it.

Quoting from the link...

The Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang has become the third province in Vietnam to report bird flu outbreak this year

I dont think that its time to go into panic mode yet, as I havent heard that it has directly transmitted, most but not all cases appear to be through direct contact with poultry.

Having said that, viruses can mutate in the course of just a day or so, so caution is really the very best suggestion anyone can offer.

Should they, or anyone else travelling to those regions begin to feel the slightest bit unwell, then the best advive is to get to your medico immediately.

Hope all is ok for your family.

Without any undue waste of time, please contact the airline they were travelling on and do two things...

ONE) Tell them what has happened and that you are concerned, and ask if they've had any other requests for this info, on that particular flight, leave them your contact details.

They'll probably be wary of a lawsuit so put that to rest.

TWO) Im not too sure how you can do this as I'm not an American, but you should advise the CDC of your information and contact details.

Also, it might be a very good idea to suggest that your family members, all now that have been in direct contact, since their return, to place themselves into voluntary quarantine for a few days, get them to talk to their medico's and ask about these suggestions...PLEASE..

sorry, I dont want to over dramatize this but caution is better than the possible conseqences.

Again, I truely hope all will be well.

There are a few important things that probably should be mentioned here.

First and most important is that this NOT a blame game here.

The folks mentioned above did NOT have to travel to the particular region in Vietnam where the deaths have been reported.

All they had to do was be on an aircraft that carried someone who had been to either that region or who was in contact with someone else who had been.

Often tracking down the original point of origin is impossible to establish.

Next, people should realize that you can be carrying a bug for some period of time and show no symptoms, BUT at the same time you can be highly contagous.

This is why all medical health professionals strongly recommend careful and frequent hand washing, and these days in particulay, well it absolutely turns my stomach, when I see someone either sneeze or cough without completely covering their noses and mouth.

When you sneeze you emitt millions of microscopic droplets into the air and this is how these bugs get from one person to another.

Also, while you are on a plane, you should be made aware that its air supply, although "filtered" is re-circulated quite a but, and the "filtering" that they use is completely innefective with micro-organisms, you get NO protection at all.

If it was me, I'd be wearing a mask all the time Im on an international flight and I'd be changing it at regular intervals too.

Also of concern now is the fact that over recent years, Vietnam has become a popular holiday destination for Westeners as it is so cheap to enjoy a stay there.

The food is good, the scenery beautiful and the people very friendly.

Unfortunately, that is just the perfect combination that appeals to Westerners for their holiday destinations and for all reports, it is now very rapidly "Westernizing" as a country, with a vibrant tourist industry.

But again, this would the most likely way that H5N1 will spread itself around the globe within just a few days, by flying inside all those thousands of tourists, who will unknowingly be carrying and spreading this killer.

The link that I posted at the very beginning of this thread came from this link.

Its an excellent source of all sorts of information.

[link to hisz.rsoe.hu]

Thats basically the start page and if you have a look at it you can then follow any of its links to information that is of interest to you.

Ive been watching the 'Bird" icons coming from China, to India, Indonesia and now again Vietnam, as I live in Australia.

My interest here is the fact that this virus is also carried in the gut of various migrating birds and as anyone can seeit appears to be heading our way right now.

It has been said that Australia is expected to be the first isolated region that will aquire contact through bird migration.

But more likely if it mutates in Asia, then the whole world will probably get it within just two to three days.

Unfortunately it is true. The case fatality ratio or CFR for H5N1 has been in the 60% range since 2005. There were some recent cases in Indonesia where the Head of the Dept of Health said that it appeared the CFR was RISING, not going lower. There is speculation that the virus has mutated to become Tamiflu resistant, which is the reason for the higher death rate. I will locate some links and post them.

Additional proof that the death rate is seriously high is the controversy over two groups of flu scientists who studied what it would take to make H5N1 spread more easily between humans. They were stopped from publishing the results of their studies for fear that terrorists would replicate their findings to create bio-weapons. This censorship is unprecedented in scientific circles and has been the subject of many msm news articles over the last month!

Indonesia Health Minister Suspected Bird Flu Immune Drug

Author: Cornelius Eko SusantoJumat, January 20, 2012 22:47 pm
[link to www.mediaindonesia.com]

JAKARTA - MICOM: Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih suspect in Indonesia has occurred the possibility of resistance (drug resistance) to the drug oseltamivir.

The hypothesis was made based on the presence of some positive victims of bird flu in Indonesia are still died despite oseltamivir have been given early.

"I suspect that the oseltamivir resistance has occurred in Indonesia. That is why the death rate of bird flu patients here reaches more than 80% when oseltamivir was given,"said Minister of Health at a press conference after the ministerial coordination meeting to discuss bird flu on Friday (20 / 1), in Jakarta. He said, there may exist a specific gene in the H5N1 virus in Indonesia that caused the H5N1 virus in Indonesia is more virulent than the H5N1 virus that is in another country.

Hello

All cases are transmitted to humans by poultry. The new modified H5N1 can be transmitted from human to human. Right now it is locked down in 2 labs, one in sweden I believe and the other here in the USA.
