IMO. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9847080 Maybe, I just think it's all just spin, smoke and mirrors. Just another corrupt aspect to the lives we are forced to comply with...and that is with our pockets. I want to know when Politicians will be required to undergo KPI's like everyone else...(KPI's are ..Key Performance Indicators), that they the politicians cooked up for ordinary workers to justify their pay rates. Well good enough for us, so good enough for all of you. An election,(litany of promises and complete BS that will NEVER be delivered) doesent count. Workers get subjected on average every three months or less to work assesments, so what makes politicians able to enjoy three year assesments...crap. Put up or shut up. |

arkay (OP) User ID: 944501 Australia 02/07/2012 06:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have a charitable organization here in Australia that does really wonderful work, it's called, "Meals on Wheels". Recently I saW an advertisment in a paper begging for more volunteers to help with delivering those meals. The reason that they were so desperate for more help. Since our various government bodies have gone down the carbon tax BS etc, and the RBA not being in touch with the real issues on the ground. The recipients of this charitable service are taking much more time to have their meals delivered. Why? Because they can't afford any heating and it takes them longer to get out of bed, where they stay all day, just to keep warm, thus leading to unplanned time delays for everyone. Thats got to be one of the most disgusting real stories that Ive heard of in recent times, and guess what, the 18% or so of electricity price rises weve already had arejust the start, we are being told that there will be more and soon. Australia, the new Banana Republic and fresh member to the third world! |

Its just taking a bit of time for everyone to actually realize this and to assemble into the new world WE want, their opinions rules and impositions are already antiquated, just have a look at where the worst places for justice have been dealt with, thats the first symptom, but there is a social hirachy which will inevidibly filter down and as it does it will gain momentum. This is the banks' way of saying they're not obliged to match the RBA's rate cuts point for point." "Moody's has just released a report claiming that Australian banks are the "most exposed" banks in the Asia-Pacific to a worsening of Europe's sovereign-debt problem." "Moody's isn't worried about the amount of European government debt Australian banks own. That's not the problem. The problem is that Australian banks get at least 19% of their funding externally." "In a genuine liquidity/credit crisis, external funding a) gets more expensive, b) dries up for all but the highest credit-quality borrowers. The cost of money goes up and there's less of it to go around, in other words. This is why banking is a lousy business in a credit depression and why bank stocks make lousy investments." |

As I said earlier, the world IS changing and the worst places in the most desperate need for change are already undergoing these shifts. But, everything has a hirachy and even here, our own people, in spite of our deeply inbred appathy, Aussies really are waking up to the BS the politicians and their media mates attempt to serve up to us. Sooner or later we as a nation will actually get sick of them and having seen the current overseas examples, they will unify to bring about the corrections that they will see as appropriate at that time. Of this I have no doubt, it's simple group dynamics. And yes, with very few exceptions, there really arent too many Australian politicians that Id say I find hard working, honest, and good representatives to the people who put all their faith, hopes and aspirations for a better life to. |

Just look at the communities that have come together after the devastating Victorian fires. They have built on each others strengths to become not only viable but moreover ´connected´ and in so doing the mutual support is overwhelming. Here is proof, the growth in community banking institutions as well as credit unions has been obvious. It is because these institutions are built around the promotion of local business and services as opposed to the major banks fattening their already bloated coffers. |

On the point of those devastating fires in Victoria, am I correct that I heard some talk a while ago that all those millions that the good people of Australia so readily donated, has NOT been fully distributed. Has everyone had their physical possesions as much as can be done, been fully reinstated with all that generously donated and hard earned money from the Australian people, or as I suspect, is it still under the control of some bureaucratic agency or other and being squandered on self interest. I recently saw a breakdown of who gets paid what for all the charitable organizations here in Australia, and without pointing fingers, there are some pretty damming salaries and benefits going to all but one charity. And I am not in the least concerned at endorsing this group because of all the good work they have always done and continue to do. I have absolutely no connection whatsoever with them, just so we are all on the same page. THEY ARE THE SALVOS... In my opinion, its them and them alone that public disaster donations should be managed from...no exceptions. And their head officer gets less that $80K per year, all the rest were amount hugely over that. |
