Reserve Bank of Australia Blackmailed !!!

Mate I am retired..early so just like you I would probably miss out too, just like Kevies $1,000.00 gift (bribe) to taxpayers a few years ago.

Because I wasnt paying taxes anymore...I got nothing.

Oh BTW I wasnt recieving any "handouts"/ benefits either, just to clarify that one.

Mind you, I didnt really agree with his Santa Clause bribery of the Australian community.

Most people just took the money and ran, who wouldnt, but the way he actually defined the real distribution of that deal was close to total corruption.

It was complete contempt.

What happened to his magnificent million dollar talk fest he sponsored, it happened, then what...total nothing, what a job that one was, where was the the committment to listen and act, it was just another elaborate talk fest, all smoke and mirrors.

I saw absolutely no result from that massively expensive event come into being, it just dissapeared under the carpet.

It reary made me glad I didnt get it, because I felt absolutely NO loyalty or affinity towards his so "in your face" contempt for the Australian people.

Which at the end of the day, that was all that exercise was, a clear and clean demonstration that he could buy all the votes he wanted, ( with our money anyway!)..what he didnt count on was that back stabber that did the usual Labor thing and screwed him over like they all do and have done every time they have a shot at running this country.

I'd recon that it'll be decades before they (Labor) ever get another go...little Johnnie had over a decade based on the oppositions prior ineptitude, what these jockers all need to understand about the Australian voter is that while they "appear" to apethetic, any they probably are, but the mistake these jokers make is that the Aussie voters have VERY long memories.

Anyway after a few decades of observation, thats my quick summery of the political environment here.

It is not just the banks that are greedy and need our ire but their stockholders. They are also pushing for more profits so their stocks can go up in value. All these people should be named and taxed on their stock increases and also more. That millionaires only pay 30% tax increases the desire to 'play' with money and to have so much more than they actually need.Tax them so there is no incentive to want more.

This arose from the mistaken believe that if you let the rich have more money they will look after the poor. No. They dont care about the poor. They just want more money because they
are not satisfied, they are not happy, they are not content and so want more.

I do not know about Australia's banks but in this country all the big banks that handle 90% of the money are on a wing and a pray. These banks are BAC, Citigroup, Wells Fargo and others. They are allowed to have what is called level 3 assets and these level 3 assets are not accounted for on the annual statements. They are massive losses over many years. These banks are all insolvent and would fail if it was not for the FED.

When Lehman collapsed and we saw the merger of a lot of financial institutions I believe they were simply merging insolvent banks with barely solvent ones to keep the system afloat. THINGS WITH MOST LARGE BANKS ARE MUCH WORSE THAN WE ARE BEING TOLD. I am afraid when the system starts to come undone WW3 will begin, sorry to have to say this.

Over time, and with patience and perseverance and some creative thinking there might be a way that some constructive new ways of doing things can be discovered or suggested that can and will be beneficial to everyone, at least we and others here are talking about and that surely is the starting point.

The saying "that the cream always rises to the top", I think is appropriate here, all it will take will be some comment hopefully here where it will not fall on to deaf ears, and from there an idea can take on a life of its own.

Thats my hope anyway, guess Im just a hopeless optimist, but I think you have to be that otherwise...why anything!

What do we have here?

New research by one of Europe's biggest banks suggests that Australian banks are hiking interest rates to protect profit margins, not to cover higher funding costs as they have insisted.

But the Australian Bankers' Association has dismissed the study and says lenders may have to raise their rates again.

The study by Societe Generale shows nearly all funding costs for Australian lenders have fallen in the last six months.

And Societe Generale's head of strategy in Asia, Christian Carrillo, says the banks' claims about rising costs are dubious.

Who can dissagree that the RBA and the big 4 arent in bed together???

Either that or the "blackmail" accusation has credibility!!

Now having read these conflicting positions on their "costs", you can only come to the concluion that if the Foreign banks can establish that their "costs" have become cheaper, and our banks including the RBA are saying the opposite then one would be compelled to conclude that our banks, including the RBA must be incompitent in the way they are conducting their business and their business decisions must also therefore be critisized.

There simply is no other alternative way to interpret these conflicting views.

Yet another reason to distance ourselves from them.

If they cant be relied on to make well founded decisions on such fundemental matters who would be prepared to let them manage their lifes efforts.

Youd have to be a fool to do that.
