Listen, this isn't about a man. This is about a message. Whether Ron Paul delivers it or not, will not change....This message lives on and will continue to grow.

Yes - this is so key to this whole rEVOLution. Never give up -- even when we lose, we win rose

I pray that Paul runs third party (if he doesn't win the nomination with his team's delegates strategy). Can you imagine what a run that would be?! Of course, the odds would be stacked against him in this rigged system, but look at how much headway he's making in getting important (previously taboo) issues into the mainstream and waking people up. On the one hand, it's disheartening and infuriating; yet, at the same time I marvel at how much progress we are making.
 Quoting: Girl Genius

No one outside the nutjobs on this website really gives two shits about the "message" you are referring to. The message will never live on because no one really cares about it. Sorry.. it's the truth. By the way.. Paul is never going to run third party, he will not win the republican nomination, and you guys aren't making any progress (hence always losing).

And quit whining about the system being rigged.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2795015

You obviously live in a different universe than I do because 90% of the people I know many many people that THEY know say they support Ron Paul because what he says makes sense. None of them have anything to do with this 'nutjob' forum.

Actually, you're quite wrong here. The political atmosphere however rather small it remains, is changing dramatically every single day. I've seen this first hand and up close.

My biggest fear is that we'll have a full on Civil war before we can finish this intellectual revolution.

Freedom is an intoxicating message. Those of us that still have it become complacent, those of us that don't become restless.

I guess it depends on who's around you. I counted 9 RP bumper stickers on vehicles at my son's school today, not including mine. The only other political sticker I saw was a 2008 Obama one on an old Volvo. Many of my friends are voting for him and my family is coming around. : )

If that makes me a nutjob, that's fine. I've been called worse. At least I have original thoughts and don't copy and paste them directly from Fox News.

THAT is the reality and hypocrisy we live in today.

Tell us something about Ron Paul that you are against..

Oh God.. I don't have time to write a novel. I'm against the legalization of marijuana, I want to keep troops in the Middle East, I don't support cutting 5 agencies of the president's cabinet, I like the Federal Reserve

He is not legalizing, hes decriminalizing.

The troops dont know what they are dying for. Bring them home so we can secure our country better.

If we dont cut something, we will be bankrupt (which we already are) not to mention the people can make their own rules.

and if the federal reserve keeps winning, we keep losing.

You cant right a novel about why you dislike paul. You have already listed what all people dont like about him.

Since when did the life of an american baby become more important than the life of any foreigner?

THAT is the reality and hypocrisy we live in today.

Let's stop murdering foreigners first, THEN talk about the nuances of fetus morality.

Exactly. Plus people who argue with Paul's stance on abortion forget that God gave man free will; and not so we should hand it over to a central authority.

I highly respect Paul's position, particularly being as he is obviously pro-life himself. I can only imagine that, as a practicing OB/GYN (of 30 years), he's seen some very tough cases which gives him a clearer perspective on individual rights in these matters.

His solution is elegant. By leaving it up to the states, many options would continue to exist. The key part is that we, as taxpayers, would not be forced to fund those aspects that went against our personal beliefs.

I believe another Civil War is very possible. The two major policical parties and the ideologies that accompany them are indirect conflict. Both feel passionately that their vision for America's future is the only one that will work. You only have to hang out on GLP for a while to see the animosity and sometimes hatred between liberals and conservatives. The two sides are polar opposite in the direction they think America should go and the chasm between them grows every day. As nice as bipartisanship looks on paper, it isn't going to happen. One side eventually has to win because the country can't move in both directions at once. As our living situations deteriorate, I think we'll see more and more minor clashes and from there I don't think a full-out waris too far-fetched.

...

Actually, you're quite wrong here. The political atmosphere however rather small it remains, is changing dramatically every single day. I've seen this first hand and up close.

My biggest fear is that we'll have a full on Civil war before we can finish this intellectual revolution.

Freedom is an intoxicating message. Those of us that still have it become complacent, those of us that don't become restless.

This is what I am talking about. You actually believe there is going to be a Civil War? Nutty stuff my man. Nutty stuff.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2795015

I appreciate your reply. We have already had one Civil War. What makes you think a second is impossible? (not that I condone civil war)
