Is that what we should have done in WWII, tell our allies that they are on their own?

I really don't support any foreign aid, but when there is a threat to our country as much as there is to any of our allies, we should work together to destroy that threat. You didn't answer the question, you want to play word games. It's rather obvious, being on their own means not having us to help take out Iran...understand now?
