No responsibility is coming into play here... |

No responsibility is coming into play here... Quoting: Too Dark Park Yea, I agree. I think having to get the drug via prescription or from a doctor would help keep people more responsible, but to each their own. After doing some further reading, it seems the medication is not too serious health wise, with few side affects, but I still would not want to put these hormonal doses in my body if I were a young woman. I'd like to go quietly in my sleep, like grandpa did. Not screaming in terror like the people in the back seat of the car he was driving. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1314779 United States 02/07/2012 04:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.cbsnews.com] Quoting: Patrick Bateman "(CBS) Morning-after pills may not be available on drug store shelves, but college students at Shippensburg University looking for a convenient way to buy a Plan B pill can now mosey on down to the vending machine at the student health center." Continued at link. Any thoughts? I disagree with the decision to have this available to students, especially in a vending machine. It just does not seem safe. I would think that the chances of girls abusing it or getting sick seem to increase in a non prescription/non documented over the counter form. So you like the idea of a nanny state? |

I like the idea of responsible people doing what they like, and taking responsibility for their actions, whatever they may be. I do not really agree with putting powerful hormones in pill form inside vending machines at state schools. There are other ways to get them if needed other than vending machines. |

Jesus, I had not even thought about it like that. If someone really wanted to, they could do that now, but this sure does not make it more difficult. |

That is the largest problem I see with it. It is not like they are difficult to get without being in vending machines. |
