There is many people by the name of Jesus on earth today. They take it as there first name as in reference to the prophet sent down by God through the Virgin Mary. Though they dont take the name literally for Jesus, that is there name they were chosen to have. It either sound like "Heyzeus" or "Geezus" when pronounced.

Re: I am giving away $10,000,000 ($10 Million Dollars for the morans.)
Josephus Flavius, the Jewish historian, lived as the earliest non-Christian who mentions a Jesus. Although many scholars think that Josephus' short accounts of Jesus (in Antiquities) came from interpolations perpetrated by a later Church father (most likely, Eusebius), Josephus' birth in 37 C.E. (well after the alleged crucifixion of Jesus), puts him out of range of an eyewitness account. Moreover, he wrote Antiquities in 93 C.E., after the first gospels got written! Therefore, even if his accounts about Jesus came from his hand, his information could only serve as hearsay.

Pliny the Younger (born: 62 C.E.) His letter about the Christians only shows that he got his information from Christian believers themselves. Regardless, his birth date puts him out of range as an eyewitness account.

Tacitus, the Roman historian's birth year at 64 C.E., puts him well after the alleged life of Jesus. He gives a brief mention of a "Christus" in his Annals (Book XV, Sec. 44), which he wrote around 109 C.E. He gives no source for his material. Although many have disputed the authenticity of Tacitus' mention of Jesus, the very fact that his birth happened after the alleged Jesus and wrote the Annals during the formation of Christianity, shows that his writing can only provide us with hearsay accounts.

Suetonius, a Roman historian, born in 69 C.E., mentions a "Chrestus," a common name. Apologists assume that "Chrestus" means "Christ" But even if Seutonius had meant "Christ," it still says nothing about an earthly Jesus. Just like all the others, Suetonius' birth occurred well after the purported Jesus. Again, only hearsay.

Talmud: It is taught: On the eve of Passover they hung Yeshu and the crier went forth for forty days beforehand declaring that "[Yeshu] is going to be stoned for practicing witchcraft, for enticing and leading Israel astray. Anyone who knows something to clear him should come forth and exonerate him." But no one had anything exonerating for him and they hung him on the eve of Passover. Ulla said: Would one think that we should look for exonerating evidence for him? He was an enticer and God said (Deuteronomy 13:9) "Show him no pity or compassion, and do not shield him." Yeshu was different because he was close to the government.

There are no known recorded eyewitness accounts of Jesus. It all boils down to faith. Faith that I will likely lose my life over. I have never seen angels or spirits, but I have been the recipient of miracles. The only reason I'm alive today.

-- FLAVIUS JOSEPHUS

Josephus was a Jewish historian who was born around AD 38. He served Roman commander Vespasian in Jerusalem until the city's destruction in AD 70. Josephus personally believed Vespasian to be Israel's promised Messiah. When Vespasian later became emperor of Rome, Josephus served under him as court historian. 2 In AD 93, Josephus finished his work Antiquities of the jewish people in which at least three passages specifically confirm portions of Scripture:

But to some of the jewish people the destruction of Herod's army seemed to be divine vengeance, and certainly a just vengeance, for his treatment of John, surnamed the Baptist. For Herod had put him to death, though he was a good man and had exhorted the jewish people to lead righteous lives, to practice justice towards their fellows and piety towards God, and so doing to join in baptism.

...convened the judges of the Sanhedrin and brought before them a man named James, the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ, and certain others. He accused them of having transgressed the law and delivered them up to be stoned.

At this time there was a wise man who was called Jesus. And his conduct was good, and [he] was known to be virtuous. And many people from among the jewish people and the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. And those who had become his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion and that he was alive;...

Jesus was just a liar. You know, during those 18 years that he wasn't present, he was in Tibet, learning with the monks. Then, when he came back, he wanted to bring all this spirituality to his people, but they wouldn't get it, so he added all their religion to it and gave himself some credibility by saying that he was the son of god.

You can find more proof of this travel of his in the Apocrypha.

I gifted $500 yesterday. No lie. Just because of the sake of all these "giving away" threads. :)

In other words...I countered your annoying ass of saying you'll gift sht by actually doing it.

Re: I am giving away $10,000,000 ($10 Million Dollars for the morans.)
OP the first and most obvious response is that the onus is upon you to prove you actually have $1,000K to give away, as was stated previously.

Nevertheless, for the purposes of discussion, let us presume you do.

As is my custom, I consulted with the Lord about this as I lay down to sleep, and meditated upon it till I did sleep. Here is the answer I recieved.

I cannot prove to you that Jesus existed, whether he did or did not. The reason for this is that whatever I say, whatever evidence I give you will simply say that is manipulation and control for the purpose of deception. If I describe truths found in scripture you will dismiss it as philosophy mingled with speculation. If I describe my personal visitation of Christ you will say it is my delusion. You have the answer for everything, because you demonstrate that pecuilar inability to think abstractly with an open mind. What you fail to realize is that I can apply your argument to reality as well, and you cannot prove that reality exists either, except for perception, and that means nothing to me.

There are really only two explanations.

1) you are blind, or your brain is somehow crippled

2) you have willfully closed your eyes

You cannot see the beauty of the world, the design, the elaborate magnificence? How do you explain that the vast majority of good in this world is done in Jesus Christs name? You are unaware that Christian charity feeds clothes houses and uplifts the downtrodden who seek? The evidence of millions of Churches, organizations, individuals all motivated by love for and from Christ means nothing to you? To be sure, many of these entities display the common character faults of humanity, after they are organizations of humans, but the motivation?

The best I could ever even do is lead you towards Christ, and if you were to even admit it you could still say I did not furnish the truth, it was Jesus himself who did that so I don't get the 10 millions.

Your challange is akin to a blind man offering ten mil to anyone who can show him the mona lisa, which cannot be done, because he is blind.

In the case of possibillity number one, that you are blind or your brain is crippled, I have faith that Jesus Christ will reveal himself to you in his own way.

In the case of possibility number two, that you willfully have your eyes closed, the solution is simple.

You don't need to offer (anonomously) a ficticious $10,000,000 to find Jesus, you just have to open your eyes.
